General / Bleeding wounds
« on: March 28, 2016, 01:51:53 am »
How do Bleeding wounds work? I have a knife that deals 25% chance of 100% bleeding damage over 3 turns, and armor that has a 30% chance of dealing a small number of mechanical damage.

Do these effects stack? Does that mean I have a 55% chance of causing one wound, or do they cause multiple wounds?

I am confused.

I created a graphical chart of the game's keyboard commands. You can find it here:

General / Keyboard controls questions

I am reading the list of controls here:

What do the "Highlight" and "Reverse highlight" keys do?

Thanks.

Oops. I suggested "wearily" in my last post, but that should really be "warily". They're two different words apparently.

[edit]

Also:

Some also call them 'the Faceless' because they believe that under their huge masks they have no face. Superstitious don't like people saying that word though; they say it can draw their attention to you.

I'm not sure if "they have no face" should really be "they have no faces". Might need to consult an English expert.

Also might want to change "they say it can draw their attention to you" to "they believe saying it can draw their attention to you". Again, not 100% sure.

Would you be willing to dump this info to a text file(s)?

The idea of reincarnating into random roles is pretty neat. It sounds like it could be a good idea in any game that has lots of different roles, but only a few of them are really attractive.

The first DD was decent, but the new one is turn-based which is good news!

Styg - Do you use a tool to edit/view item descriptions and stats? It would be helpful for anyone working on the wiki.

I didn't know the game had an item damage feature. I guess I will have to watch out!

Suggestions / Re: Little suggestion regarding Blueprints
« on: March 27, 2013, 12:01:48 am »
I don't think that's necessarry as you can't learn a blueprint you already have.
You lose money by buying learned blueprints though.

Another suggestion I have is to show which skills are needed to build the item in the buy/sell screen.

- From my experience it's the smaller groups or individual tunnelers that you should be most vary of. Larger groups generally leave other Underrail folk alone as long as they don't bother them.

- If you absolutely must fight them, try to get close and personal. That's when they are not comfortable with exposing their massive brains so they can sling psionics and will either try to gain some distance or will just bite you; and their bite is far less dangerous than their psionics.
+ Lots of problems in this sentence.

- You see, the weird thing is, not only do they hit you harder when they are in a group, they also start throwing crazier and crazier stuff your way the more of them joins the fight.

There are a lot of grammar errors that I didn't point out in the above. But my grammar is not much better, so I can't suggest alternatives.  :-[

Bugs / Save game after updating to 0.1.7.0
« on: March 26, 2013, 03:07:21 am »
I created a character in the Desura version of 0.1.6.0 and saved the game after making a little progress in the game. Then when 0.1.7.0 was released I uninstalled the old version and replaced it with the new one. At first when playing 0.1.7.0 I was able to load the old save game and continue. Just now when I tried to play further the save game disappeared.

Why is that? Where are the save games stored? It's weird that the save game worked at all considering that 0.1.6.0 and 0.1.7.0 were installed to entirely different directories IIRC.
