Development Log / Re: Dev Log #14: Taking from the Rich

I found junkyard hard as well. Especially the small zone on the right with the 5 human enemies (1 standing near fence looking south-west). It to me like 10 or more tries until I got trough (while not changing between zones). I was low on psi, however I didn't expect it to be that hard. I used 4x mine, 1x flashbang, 2x he, 1x fire psi ability and the rest pistol. The acid areas where hard as well. Maybe my char was not that well balanced... However, I guess I can agree with Hans_Sanitizer: "difficulty is not something this game is lacking in"

Played NOLF recently as well. Such a classic. Too bad the franchise is dead.

I'm having the exact same problem, except that I'm using Windows Vista instead of Windows 7. Do you have any solutions for me?

Doesn't Vista has essentially the same privilege system? Did you try the solution in the second post?

then try Fallout and Fallout 2 and let me know, how is your opinion from that games :D

I played Fallout 2 for the first time some months ago. I don't know why maybe it's the age of Fallout but underrail is much more fun to me.

There will be a lot more items in the final game. Though I have been somewhat more generous with item selection at the very start of the game in the demo for the purpose of showcasing it, the items you could purchase are far from best in the game.

Thanks, that makes sense of course. Now I'm really excited. :)

Well done!

I have one question as well: For now the game world is small, but we can already purchase the best weapon & armor after some hours of playtime. With the new changes it will obviously get harder, still I wonder if there will be more items in the final game. This kind of bothers me. I played Fallout 2 some time ago and it took me ages to get some decent weapon, which is of course a good thing for such games.

via a german games magazine (http://www.pcgames.de/Indie-Games-Thema-239276/News/Underrail-Old-School-Rollenspiel-erinnert-an-Fallout-und-Metro-2033-1020615/)

When I looked the first time into this forum I was surprise by the low amount of users/threads. I hope more people get to know about this game. In it's core I had much more fun playing this demo than any "AAA" game of recent years...

1. Haven't found any, maybe there were not put in the demo.

2. Put it utility slot, and click on it/press a key.

Thanks that works. Cool effect.

3. Sniper rifles, although I haven't seen any that uses 12.7 mm ammo in the demo yet.

The sniper is so powerful :D 8.mm is the largest useful ammo in the demo it looks like :/

- There is an energy weapon frame, is there a related blueprint?

- How to use the cloaking device? It's fully charged but I can't use it.

- Is there a weapon for the big ammo like 12mm?

- With the main elevator go to "cave exit".
- Go south, there you reach a man (he has a quest for you).
- From there go to the top right.
- From there go to the left - there you find the generator.
- The outposts are all down there in the cave, I think about 5 or 6 in total. Turn on the power for each of them.

(everything as far as I remember...)

You can ignore the rocks.

Did you trigger all the power switches in outposts? They work only after you put a part into power generator. The quest doesn't tell you expicitly that you need to go back to quest giver... so when you *think* you finished it all just go back and talk to him.

Worked for me.

Yep that did it (just going back to the guy). In another thread the dev said he will modify the mission. For now it's not very obvious how many outposts there are etc.

I have a question: I'm sure I explored all caves and done everything down there etc., however the mission status does not change. Do I have to talk to the guy with the 2 beasts in the outpost? I just killed him. Maybe the mission script failed to trigger something? I will try it again now.
