Hey guys, the new version is up. We're all very happy to have finally released this. It's the centerpiece of the game, our Athkatla/Sigil/Neverwinter. The main story still has places to go and we still plan on introducing more factions and sideplots, but expect the future updates to be a lot more focused and a lot less spacious.

We showed you bunch of screenshots already, so for this occassion we decided to make a short teaser trailer instead.
As before, we're releasing it to Steam first until we're sure it's stable and any potential major bugs that we missed during internal testing are fixed.
And because no dev log would be complete without a bullet list, here's an incomplete list of minor tweaks and stuff that were done since the last dev log:
- Tweaks
- EMP mine blueprint component requirements changed to be the same to that of the EMP grenade
- Increased the amount of bear traps crafted when not applying poison to 10
- Increased the amount of caltrops crafted when not applying poison to 10
- Reduced the cost of metal plates and, by extension, some items that are crafted from them
- Added an option to turn off automatic door opening
- Removed the cooldown of Burst attack (don't know why it was there in the first place)
- Bugs
- Hopefully finally fixed the bug(s) that caused the factions to get all messed up after the Junkyard showdown event
- Merchants will no longer roam while in bartering mode
- Game will no longer crash when saving while mining
- Chemical pistols have weight now
- Action point counter fixed to work with extreme amounts of action points
- Adrenaline shot will now always properly grant 20 bonus AP
- Execute will no longer deal extra damage even if the target is not stunned/incapacitated
Enjoy the update folks, report bugs and let us know how you liked it. Cheers.

Was looking forward to this so much. Hurry up you Steam thralls and get those bugs out so I can get this on Desura. :P

I just went in for a second to take a look at character creation and the option menu... now I know I always ask this but do bear with me please.
I saw no option to disable merchant buying limits.
Am I right to assume that it doesn't exists still and that merchants still are limited to the amount of stuff they buy?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Styg!
I have been away for awhile and it seems i lost a lot of the developtment. :D
The game looks to be growing fast. I havent tested it much yet but those new feats look great, speacially the unarmed ones.
Keep up the good job :D

Hahaha some things never change.
Out of curiosity Elhazzared, Styg has confirmed that he would be adding such option?
-
Cheers, any idea when 1.0 comes out? ^^
-
yeees.
Now I just need to wait patiently for the Desura version to come out.
Well, or I could install it on Steam, but why would I.

Didn't you get special e-mail already? It has a special fix which allows you to turn off merchant limits, give merchants unlimited amount of money and turn off item weight.
It was suppose to be sent to everyone except Elhazzared. ;)

Oh you mean all those zipped .dll files? I never got to try it.
Thanks for reminding me!

Perfect timing! I was just about to put this in bug section :D

Styg did say at some point in time that he might in the future be adding the option as he was not going to go back to the old model that had no limits so I've been waiting for him to implement it before I can play again because really, without that I really can't play, the game is just way too frustating to play without being able to sell my stuff.
-
Ok, I think I might just not be able to wait.
If I pick up the Steam key from Desura, can I still play it on Desura afterwards?

Yeah, of course.

Due to exams I won't have much time to try out this release just yet, but I just wanted to stop by and congratulate all the developers with this new release! I know what I'll be doing in september!
-
Didn't realize level 20 cap was still in effect :'(. Oh well; still enjoying this build.
Edit: Just met Al Fabet. aHAHahaha! :D I also noticed that he's always encumbered. I'm dying here.
-
I rushed my game so i could get to the Core City sooner to met this character. Priceless. :D
The city is very good looking and i love the atmosphere.

I'm still sure, that the best solution for this is when limit still exist, and traders buy loot that exceeds the limit from you at a discounted price - next 3-5 items for 50%, next 3-5 for 25% and so on.
It will be like traders doing business in real life, when deal with bulk quantities.

Maybe fenix, but it wouldn't solve my issue. I wouldn't seel the item for a lower value. Overall I'd prefer that the way market works is that it offers you less money for your items but at least it buys everything... However the money offered is always the same value and has nothing to do with stock (Always the same disreguarding the mercantile values of course).
