Suggestions / Re: Model Customization
« on: January 19, 2016, 01:08:47 pm »
I believe this kind of customizations are completely pointless and a waste of time. Showing gear changes is actually at least somewhat useful not just vanity stuff. And if the model changes with gear changes then your initial customizations won't even show.
Unless you go like Wasteland 2 for example which is so completely ridiculous that you can customize how you look but the gear you put on you doesn't show.

It used to be pretty normal that you can mercilessly fuck up your playthrough in RPGs. Not telling the player is of course an issue, because there should be a clear fail state.

With that I can agree.
It's fine if they want to have ways to fuck up the main quest, but letting the player continue blindly a failed state is not.

There are ways to break the main quest. We do not guard against all of them.

That seems like a weird policy to me. Isn't this supposed to be a top priority, that the main quest can't be broken? If you can't continue the game what's the point to continue with the playthrough? Especially if you don't even tell the player that they're stuck and can't proceed anymore.

Bugs / Re: Stuck in Evelynn's Bunker
« on: January 07, 2016, 11:13:10 am »
Wait, this is kinda weird. I entered the bunker through that door in the slums got the evidence and was able to get out through the same door with no problem. Wasn't this supposed to be possible?
I couldn't open the double door near the turrets, though, no matter what I did, but after snitching on Evelyn I went back and there was a guard near the turrets and the door was open which I found kinda weird.
And is something supposed to happen with that inaccessible vent where the bodies are?

I got this error today too a couple of times. Here's what I have in the log:

Quote

And it once failed to load the autosave it did when failing to transition. It stopped happening after exiting and opening the game again, though and was able to access any area I tried.

This is on W7 64bit, i7 2600k, 24GB RAM, GTX 460

Oh, and version is 1.0.0.0 mostly because I'm afraid if I update during a playthrough something will go wrong. :)

Bugs / Re: Disappearing items from containters

Sure.

Core City:

I'm not 100% this was the exact container, but almost sure and it was somewhere on this level. Regardless, I did lose items from a container in Core City, that's certain.

Foundry:

This is definitely the faulty container.

Well, that's all I have so far. Hopefully I don't actually need Bob's armor. :)

By the way, I thought maybe it was Al Fabet that stole my stuff. That could actually be cool if it was implemented and you'd have to buy or steal your stuff back from him, kinda like how it was with the kids in the Den in Fallout 2.

Bugs / Disappearing items from containters
« on: January 06, 2016, 09:18:07 pm »
Hi,

So I searched about this and I understand that containers shouldn't reset, but it seems something still happens to some of them.
I had some items in a barrel in Core City near the elevator as well as in garbage heap in the Foundry (in the area where the train is, near the tracks, in the top part of them map) that just disappeared when I came back for them.
Did this change and some areas are supposed to less safe than others to leave items in?

I also had the zone transition fail bug today, and it even failed to load the autosave one time after the zone transition crash, but fortunately after exiting the game and opening it again it didn't happen anymore so hopefully it's not something game breaking.
