I've made a program that can decode text from Music Cipher in Nexus of Technology and give information about the process.
It was made with Hard difficulty in mind but may also work if you're playing on Normal or DOMINATING. Starting at version 0.5 should work on Easy difficulty.
The program can outright decode the puzzle but I encourage You to try decoding yourself.
After decoding all you need to do is to find your numbers in the text.
It's also for players who already know how to solve the puzzle and don't want to do the busywork.
Demonstration video (https://www.dropbox.com/s/u824h5974vycefs/UR_Music_Decipher_v0_2.mp4?dl=0).
Decipher 0.6 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/rszed1uk018jzd9/UnderrailMusicDecipher_v0_6.zip?dl=1)
previous versions:
Decipher 0.5.1 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/uotx9g0j6bewdul/UnderrailMusicDecipher_v0_5.1.zip?dl=1)
Decipher 0.5 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/fr8y28valj12urb/UnderrailMusicDecipher_v0_5.zip?dl=1)
Decipher 0.4 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/k3bjg2m29nema3q/UnderrailMusicDecipher_v0_4.zip?dl=1)
It's a 32 bit Qt application compiled for Windows 7.
Some numbers have colours - currently they don't mean much but i have plans to make them more meaningful.
If you don't want to / can't use the program but want the code you can post your data, in text format (copy it from game with Ctrl+C), here and i (or someone else) will decode it.
There's a file with example data you can use for learning purposes.
Let me know of any bugs and issues. And have fun deciphering puzzles!
Hint: on the Easy difficulty level encoded keypad code is separated from the rest of the text like in the picture below:

Probably I am missing something, but where is the numbers in this text?
THE RITE OF SPRING TIDE
CLAUSTROPHILIC DESTINY
RIME OF THE SECURITY MARINE
SERVANT DANCE

The only explanation i have is your numbers were sent separately. I've heard this happens on Easy difficulty.
Does your e-mail look like this?

If that's the case then you can decode your 4 semitones with this part of octave III:

My program was made to solve puzzle on Hard and it may or may not work for other difficulties. I've just noticed i didn't inform of that in my post. I'll correct it.

According to what you said, is my code 9565?

From music theory we learn that Bb == A# and Gb == F#. So the code would be 8464.

If you just want the code you can download the newest version of my program - 0.5 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/fr8y28valj12urb/UnderrailMusicDecipher_v0_5.zip?dl=1). I made it work with puzzle on Easy as well.
If not, check this post:

it's an explanation for Easy difficulty.
-
HI
The program doesn't work on easy difficulty I tried a few times, and i trying for myself without the program and I'm not even close to getting a positive result.
So ,the question is, can i finish the game totally ignoring that this gate exists, or I have to open it because is it part of an important quest?
Man I'm very close to giving up on this one :(
-
The code i got for your data is this (highlight to see): 5716
If it's incorrect then it doesn't work for Easy indeed.
The reward from the vault isn't part of any quest. It's another unique weapon (energy pistol).
-
you say that is not part of any quest, but professor oldfield asks me to investigate the Nexus of technology and report my findings.
I've already searched everything in there and the only thing missing is that pistol in that goddam room.
So,is something missing here?
-

Read everything in a terminal in a room next to cipher vault. There's also a quest item to loot there. Use it from inventory and report to the professor afterwards.

You definitely made an error copying either the octave key or encrypted text. Post a screenshot of both of them, easiest way to do this is to disable fullscreen in options then print screen, paste into paint, crop, and attach directly to the reply.
-
Here are the keys:
I used this tool to decrypt:
http://poligon.hekko24.pl/underrail/
-
you also need to post your encrypted text, I'm guessing you don't know what this is. It's on Mickey's terminal on the administration level in one of the emails.
it should look like this, but with different notes for you. You have to copy that into the decrpyter aswell. The reason you're getting gibberish is because you're inputing your interval & octave keys to the decoder's default example code.
GbGbEbEDb GEEGbG GbGbBDbE EbA#GbGC DbGbGDbC
EEbFGbA#Eb FFDbCEb ABAbEbF DbBDEG DbEb
GbGbEbCB ECEbEE DbEFG CGFA#Eb

This part is actually the encoded message, and those keys you posted can be thought of the directions to turn these into letters/potentially a few numbers.

:) :) :D :D thank you man, thank you so much, i would fucking KMS if i had to take a pen, paper and excell sheet if i had to decode(which is just moving the fucking letter while remembering all this dumb shit where you have to know where the sequence starts, which number represents which octave and at which letter you reset back to A and starting to count again) every single sequence by myself, it would take like 3 hours, this is some enigma tier shit, i preffered the mutagen puzzle one where 45 minutes gave me full understanding of it combined with excell sheet to see which to combine, this one though... styg has a weird sense of humor man.

the tool is spitting out:
CORA?_T?REE_F?NTAS_Y
REST?E_?SWAV_?SFOU_RCAPR_ICE
CELE?T_?ALZE_?ONOS_TALGIA
GENE?I_?1IN_TE?VEN_TION
I'm not sure if any of that is decoded right.
I'm playing on second hardest diff.

It looks correct. On higher difficulties decoded text may not be straightforward, look:
CORA?_T?REE_F?NTAS_Y
REST?E_?SWAV_?SFOU_RCAPR_ICE
3 and 4. I'll leave the rest to you. You can do it!

That's what I thought at first too, but I tried every combination with 3 and 4 in those positions. I think that's just a coincidence.

If it's not 3401 then i give up.

Someone had to make a program for a puzzle for some indie game...wow.
I am not even going to bother with the puzzle in all honesty. The fact the instructions are multiple "next" buttons long is what kills any interest, if you want to make a convoluted puzzle that is overly complex, requiring pages of instructions, at the very least have those pages of instructions be easier to read/reference.
-
Pretty impressive, right?
And OP, are you still stuck?

can someone help me ?

If you only got those 2 lines of output you might be experiencing same issue as abu.
Do you have key lines like this
Key *: [context.global_xpbl_encryptedString1_key]
Key *: [context.global_xpbl_encryptedString2_key]
?
As epeli suggested it might be a bug.

nothing like that , i got the same lines as everyone else but that is all it decoded into

I can't seem to get a solution for mine. I'm playing the experimental build on hard. Any help would be appreciated

Scratch that, I've found the issue in this recent thread https://underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=5911.0#msg31131 (https://underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=5911.0#msg31131).
There's a a bug where * bolds the text. If you Ctrl+C the text it'll show up normally.

Good day. I play on easy difficulty. I tried to use various guides and decoders, but they do not help. I found the number only in 3 parts of the code. I would be grateful for your help.

Hi and sorry for the late reply. I don't visit these forums often.
On the Easy difficulty the keypad code is given seperately from the rest of the encoded text, below "and here's the keypad code:" line. I'll add it to the original message.

Wow! What a muddler I am! Thank you. I've already deciphered the code! For two whole weeks I suffered with this!
