De-Crafting

I would love it if there was the option to salvage parts from picked up or older weapons. In other words if you were missing a component for building something new you could deconstruct an armor or gun and take the parts from it to complete the new crafting.

I should mention that the de crafting maybe would take as high a respectable skill as crafting (although I guess realistically it is easier to take something apart than to build it from scratch). Also, you could have the attempt fail and destroy the item.

Nice idea considering the lack of some more complicated parts for crafting. I'm all for it!

To balance it up, you have to choose which part to salvage, rest of the components would be destroyed in the process.

This is something I've considered in the past and it might still happen. It's tied into another game mechanics I'm still considering as well.
