Hi all, I can't complete this quest : http://www.underrail.com/wiki/index.php?title=Find_missing_combat_unit_in_west_wing (http://www.underrail.com/wiki/index.php?title=Find_missing_combat_unit_in_west_wing) , the one where you find Efreitor Mateo near to a big crystal. I think the problem lies in the sequence of the events:
- I went to the west side and found Mateo
- I went back without getting spotted
- Samuel asked me to find the missing unit, I told him I already did and saw Mateo but didnt talk to him and he asked me to talk to him
- I went back and killed him since he attack on sight (tried both to attack first and get attacked)
- I went to Mediant Samuel, but he has no new lines to talk about.
Note: I have his head in the inventory
EDIT: not fixed for 1.0.0.9 or at least not retroactively, I now reloaded a save and lost just a couple of hours, will report if it happens again (but this time im not going straight for MAteo, im waiting for the quest)

You were right, this sequence of events was indeed the cause of the issue. Fixed for the next patch, and it will work retroactively.

I reloaded an old save and got the mission before going to the west wing and it works, but he didn't take Mateo's Head after that anyway like in this old post http://underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=1468.msg8364#msg8364
