Hello.
1. What do you think is the easiest route for weapon of choice for a crafter build? Explain why.
2. Should I start focusing on crafting since level 1 or should I wait a few levels (focusing on combat skills first). Both?
3. Oddity XP system or traditional one for crafters?

1. Have no idea.
2. Combat first, wait for craft til midgame with exeption of few utilities like NV goggles etc.
3. No matter, I prefer oddity for smooth gameplay without reasons to grind enemies, NPC, locks for exp.

Thanks.
I think I got it the wrong way.
This is the char I generated
STR 3
CON 3
DEX 8
AGI 7
PER 8
WIL 3
INT 8
Should I start with lower INT and PER 10? I want insane crafting/hacking...

One thing to take into account when planning to craft firearms, is that barrels have fixed mechanical stat requirements.
5mm requires 10 skill, 9mm 25 skill, 7.62mm and 12.7mm 35 skill and 0.44 45 skill in mechanic.
Since you can not make firearm without barrel, plan accordingly.
Anyway, I wold definitely put points on 1st level to crafting skills you want to focus, since later you will not have enough skills points to raise them quickly. But later, I would not raise them every level, only when I think that there is something worthy to get crafted.

8 Int is almost always an overkill.
Usually 7 is enough - it enough for all craft feats, and can be baffed with food +2.

Thanks for the replies. I have made yet another new char with different stats. l am pretty satisfied so far, and I have only INT 6 now.
Experimenting is a nice thing in this game. And it's fun as hell. 8)

INT6 is fine. If you want one of those INT7 feats you can always add stat point later at level up.
