How come the dreadnought in Hephaestus can punch through solid rock easily but not a metal roller door? ???

the same reason why the mutants in the CoreCity Sewers attack you even if you are a mutant too.

In this case, the dreadnought does not want to break the door, because he is a jerk too :)
