Title: Download for Gamersgate always give corrupt files

Hi,

I've tried to download from gamersgate using their craphole downloader for about 6 times now and each time the downloaded installation file fails with various (different each time) *.xnb files saying they are corrupt. All this downloading is eating into my monthly download limit. What am I doing wrong? I used GG many times before and never had this issue.

Hi,

Could it be that your HD has developed bad sectors or something like that? I tested the newest GG installer and it worked for me just fine.

Hi,

I've had it download to three different HDDs and tried to install it to two different HDDs with no success. The corrupt files are always XNA *.xnb textures (I assume they are XNA textures?) I've tried switching off anti-virus and that didn't help. Is there any chance it is having issues with a version of .NET on my machine?

Tried to download to another HDD and install on a fourth HDD, still craps out with the corrupt file mallarky. I'll try it on another PC tomorrow. Wish I'd bought the bloody thing on Desura now!!!  >:(

I'm sorry you're having troubles. I'll re-download the installer myself again tonight and check if it works.

It shouldn't have anything to do with .NET if it fails during installation.

I downloaded and installed with no problems.

What's the path you try to install to? Do you use the default one?

Hi,

thanks for your time and checking the download. I re-downloaded from my work PC and this one has installed back here at home so that is sweet. Weird stuff, could be 12/12/12 did the trick ...
