Title: Is kevlar useless on items with no mechanical threshold?
Post by: Phoenix7786 on July 13, 2016, 05:03:43 am
Heya all. If I add something like kevlar to an item with no mechanical threshold whatsoever, is it wasted? Or does it factor in all the armour from all the items I have on?

With boots and balaclava i think you will get DT = 4x400%=16 i think. Not very good, but if you add high quality vest and balistic feat it will be around 27 total i think so 27x600%=162. Still how does that compare vs infused ancient rathound leather? IDK.

Thanks epeli. So DT route is inferior to DR.

Speaking of Kevlar...Just out of curiosity there epeli, what's your opinion the Ballistics feat? Does the math make it worth a feat slot?

It looks very appealing, especially if taken early, but does it lose enough of it's relevancy later on that you'd feel like kicking yourself in the head for taking it, or does it at least remain moderately helpful?

You would have to build whole eq around it, that means all your slots would have to be kevlar and you will need tactical vest.

Still the question remains - how does that compare to other setups.

Or you could use infused siphoner leather armor and boots, 10 agi, nimble and end up with 350~ evasion/dodge.

But go make balistics char with high frequency shield and power management if you want bulletproof char.
