Title: Persuade Free Drones about Lost Train

I've met Free Drones while doing Train heist quest and I've managed to persuade (I have 116 persuasion) them to leave the train. Can I still join them?  Major Clifton send me to Ambassador Athanas and he send me to Fort Apogee. But is there some way to return train to Captain Herve and join Free Drones?

NO, the only way to join them is let them take the train.

By the way, your persuasion is way too high before end game progress, and Protectorate quest do have many high persuasion check (up to 90) too, maybe you can try to join them.

Protectorate side's story are interesting too.
