Title: Completely Stuck (Possible Spoilers).

I love this game, but I'm utterly stuck on the second part of the wormhole mission in the junkyard.

After arriving at Silent Isle with the captain and finding the second area with the monolith, a whole bunch of doppelgangers appear and I don't have the psi power to take them all on (never mind a single one).

So what I really want to know is there another way around this or should I go back a few saves, level up and just build up that psi power to continue this quest?

You can damage them? O.o

When I did it, I just made my way around the left side of the Island, throwing a flare when a Doppel appared (Donno if it did anything, but meh) and took out the psi Bugs, ran pretty close to death a few times so having a decent stock of Health Hypo's and Bandages is a must.

But they didnt do to much damage, they were there for about 2 turns in combat, didnt really do much damage per attack either.

Didnt even know their was a Monolith, just tried to do that part as quickly as possible, as I got a strange feeling when on that island :D

Yeah - using one of the PSi attacks you can damage them, but you get a bunch at the point i mention above.

You don't need to activate the monolith. Just grab the lost cargo and high tail it out of there.

I figured as much (and did so) just really wanted to beat the doppelgangers! Heheh, cheers for the reply though!

ok, just did it, got +30 max PSI, no doppelgangers O.o

Jupp, went right though the Staring into it etc..

maybe it was because I had such low PSI skills, 5 in each Catagory :p

It's not a bug. You unpowered a monolith and gained some vague insights (also PSI). It's Will based, btw.

Ahh, nice :D

if only I could remember those vague insights, but apart from the Monolith sprite (That looks cartoon for the game) I think that little part was pretty well done

Hmmm... guessing my will isnt high enough for the monolith to be any use to me yet then
