Title: Special shop selection for Mercantile players?
Post by: Bruno on February 26, 2017, 08:14:13 am
Good day!

Mercantile skill makes it so you will, at a few select merchants, get access to their "special selection", or, as it seems to be, the Good Stuff!

The question is: How good is this stuff?

-Is this unique equipment you can not buy anywhere else, or rather more of the same?
-Can you buy stuff of such high quality that it can justify skipping crafting?
-Do you on the top tier selection get to buy something really really awesome?

It would be cool if there was something sweet to justify Mercantile, and not just a trap for skill points.

You get a wider selection without any notable increase in component quality. You don't get to buy any special or unique equipment.

No, special selection does not justify skipping crafting.

No, as far as I know you don't get to buy anything unique or special.

Well, the ceiling for quality maybe doesn't increase, but it is so much easier to actually find a component with high quality.

But yeah. it's still ordinary stuff without anything unique and crafting always WAY better than buying stuff
