Hi all.
I am struggling with the attempt to PP Elwood up in the gambling house and when I take him out I end up rather dead by the time I leave the room. Any tips/advice? I have read about the 85 mech room but I do not have nearly enough skill to do that. Any help would be great.

What about traps?
I managed to kill him at the previous version by laying traps on a route he used to take inside the casino.
Stealth goes well this this traps tactic.

You can kill him however you like while he travels between the rooms just as long as no one sees you. Traps are indeed the easiest way if you have the necessary skill.

I have to admit after this thread I was a bit worried he was hard to take out.
Gave him a kick to the balls and a single swing with the sledge, and he was down.
I was kinda disappointed, really.

But you have to take in count that your skill is Unlimited. ;D
Did you had to use stealth? Other npcs didn't turn hostile to you?
That must have been a really hard swing.

Well, I waited in the corridor between two rooms.
I might have used stealth, it's not like anyone else was in vision distance.
Got 55 Damage with "Opportunistic" Feat. Great Feat, I might add.

I found the easiest way to kill him is using a knife to quickly stab him down (you get lots of chances due to low AP cost).

Personally I prefer a single "cut throat" when playing a knife build. :)

Wow, thank you for all the responses guys. I have duly taken him out :D
Aside from how much I am enjoying the game, the burgeoning community around it is fantastic to see and is a credit.
Thanks again!

I didn't use that feat (didn't have the req) so stabbing him down like a killer had to suffice. Let's say my character was mildly disturbed.

hah. Wow it looks like i'm the only one who actually pickpocketed him! I didn't even know the corridor was isolated enough to kill him, I figured traps were the only way to do it undetected. Now I know

Well, that was the first I thought of.
But with 0 skill at it.... :-\

Yeah you have to be committed to pickpocketing. Really its a bad skill except when you finally get to 70-80 points (including sneak of course), although pickpocketing elwood is probably the one exception where its useful. I think there would come some point, where you're finally able to sneak and steal easily, but even at level 12 I haven't reached that yet! (and I found some leather armor that gives +23 to stealth). Oh well I still stole a bunch of good stuff, so it was fun and I think probably worth it later on.
