Azif said that to open Acorn, you need a code. I have not found this in my travels ... Has anyone found a code for Acorn or is it basically not in the game?

I'm guessing it probably isn't, also you can take the Acorn to Tanner in SGS who apparently knows a lot about it too, I suspect the head guy at the institute of Tchort might be interested in it too but I've not unlocked that place yet.

There are several influential people that want ACORN:
1. Professor Oldfield
2. Aran
3. Azif
4. Eidein
5. Tanner
6. Colonel Cathcart from Fort Apogee
7. Captain Grimm from Pirates
Maybe someone else as well. I do not know of consequences of giving that item to particular person.
You can also inform that you have this item Dude, Faceless Commander in Deep Caverns and Gunnar Edstrom of JKK, but they refuse to take it.
In terms of money, it seems that Aran pays the most - 15 thousands charons with my Mercantile = 0.

Eidein is the head guy at the institute of Tchort.
Aran is the new NPC.
He will appear only if you visit Core City with Acorn in your possession.

I gave the acorn to Professor Oldfield, he said i could visit him in the "University", im at tchort institute and can't find him, does he ever appear or thats the end of story?

He means the university in Dis which is a city in North Underrail so it is not in the game.
