Title: Anyone figured out how camp supplies work for expedition.

I have a few questions about the mechanic

-does it tick down while ur in the main game
-when does it start ticking down exactly
-who thought that this was a good idea

I only did expedition once (and I hate how it's too open-ended with few satisfying end knots), but I never lose any supplies in 30 hours-ish play, hell I don't even know what's "camp supplies" even mean, since there's no difference whatsoever on both camp's looks and shop before and after prof kidnap and giving few supplies to pirates.
As for raid gimmick, just cover the entire beach with bear traps and activate the laser thingy. No one will die even if you don't helped them

I saw some complaints on steam but never noticed it either (I gave supplies to muties and whent full rambo on the pirates) raids seem to be triggered by certain events/quest progress but I never did get far in the dlc

Since i was worried about the supplies running out due to native attacks I decided to kill all of the natives as soon as possible, then i lost interest in the expedition, join the pirates did all the quests i could find and explored the entire map, all i have to do is go down the last dungeon in the sub but the expedition is still there, will they ever leave i wonder.
