Title: Spliting items in combat can cause the never ending turn glitch.

I found this out accidentally while shift clicking some morphine during combat.

Does this require a lucky timing or can it be reproduced reliably? And if so, how?

After some quick but late testing, and not being able reproduce the bug.

I think it might be only be able to happen on long drawn out battles such as those with the Serpentborn, or with certain items.
