basically as the tittle says, i wanna try out a sword and shield build

This is a "just sword and shield" build.  I never played it, but I planned on using super steel gear.  Shaded SS helmet, sturdy ss sheet ss shield armor, ss striders, not sure what paddings.  I'd use a tungsten shock chete though.  If you want to actually have fun, I'd add TM and maybe some PK, because the game will shit all over you with this build since you only defend well against mechanical melee attacks, and even then the heavy bruisers will still fuck you up.
