Do some merchant buy any of the following:
Bottles
Bolt trigger
Throwing knife (any kind)
Nets
Dog crates
-
Anyone?
-
I don't think so.
-
Great. That means I can just discard them, or put in barrel, since I do not do the crafiting.
I assume same is true for the various scap types. Correct?
Also, if anyone knows any other type of the item that can not be sold, please post here, so we can compile the list.

Correct.
-
Dirty rags?
Cardboard container?
-
The best item for trade are weapons. I trade only them. Anything else does not worth the time.
-
The best trading items are those with best weight cost ratio and that are sellable.
-
Hammer handle - crafting component.
At least I didn't saw thta someone wan tto buy it.
-
Yeah, sledgehammer handle does not seem to metal components, nor any other sellable category.

Wrong.
Electronic/psi headgear parts are the best. You can get up to like 12,000 value for 0,5 weight, or even 3000 for 0,05.

Scrap is super valuable - make repair kits.
-
I can confirm from personal experience that merchants WILL NOT buy the following:
- Scrap bits
- Throwing knives
- Throwing nets
- Cages (although caged cave hoppers goes as foodstuff)
- Dirty rags
- Bottles
- Compasses
- Flares
- Fishing rod
Think I've gotten most of it and on another 'note' yes sledgehammer handles can be sold as well but can't remember if the bolt triggers can be sold, I know the other little thingies "dischargers" you use for EMP related stuff can be sold to merchants.
As of "best items" to sell that depends ENTIRELY on the overall quality of the item like some leather armor will go for below 1000 while others up to 5000-6000 or some tactical vests going for less than 2000 while others go for 18000.
Should you have a hard time to determine whenever it's worthwhile or not try to repair it and see how significant the value increase is.

I seem to recall the guy at the Hanging Rat Bar buying scraps, but they don't go for very much and he doesn't buy very many at a time. You're almost certainly going to be better off just making repair kits out of them.
-
Yes, that guy in the bar buys scraps, but it is pretty much pointless since it is in small quantities.
But dirty rags are also considered scrap by him, and are worth slightly more.

Please share where. As far as I know, they are neither firearm parts, not armor parts, nor metal parts, so I have no idea what other sellable category they could fit.
And when we are at that. Does anybody know any item that fits "pneumatic components" category?
The only item with "pneumatic" in name I found fits in different sell category.
