I know what you mean, I just don't see it as a problem. This game follows the old-school design principles of the classic Fallouts and imm-sims: it lays down its tools before you and trusts you to make your choice and to make it work. Yeah, some tools are much better or situationally better than the others, so choose wisely. If you made a poor choice, restart and try again with the newly found knowledge and you'll do better. It's part of the fun. And once you've finished the game, you can go back and try something else. You may even try something outrageously suboptimal just to challenge yourself. This is how people've sunk thousands of hours into it.

Not everything needs to be always 'balanced'. When it is, you find yourself a boring, samey, WoW-like sludge of a game where every build can do everything with about the same degree of success and none of your choices matter much. The ranking in the first post is way off btw.

A SS knife would crit harder than a tungsten one despite having a lower crit bonus, seeing as you can fairly easily get SS plates of 175+ quality while tungsten in the same range is an exceptionally rare find. It would have higher base damage and enjoy other benefits of a SS knife.

I haven't seen this raised in a while so I thought I'd summarize what I know about this issue in this post. The issue is:

Having visibility from A to B doesn't necessarily mean having visibility from B to A. This always or almost always happens when A and/or B is near a corner.

This issue manifests most prominently when the player is rooted in place and being shot at while not being able to shoot back but there are other cases.
- Being able to melee a target (or being attacked in melee) but not to shoot it without moving first.
- Combat is initiated by an NPC and you win the initiative but you have to move to actually see who spotted you first.
- Character A being in melee range of character B but not vice versa. May be related to A using a spear which has extended range.
- Waiting for a patrolling guard to disappear from sight so you can steal something, just to be caught.
- Being seen in stealth while you shouldn't be or being able to see a character who is clearly in range but cannot see you.

Attached are a couple of spots where the latter can be tested consistently. #1 Foundry. I can see Leonie (and steal from the containers) while she cannot see me. #2 Camp Hathor. Standing here and messing with the safe will get you spotted by Boyd who is just around the corner and out of sight.

Hey, I'm getting "Access denied Error code 1020" when visiting underrail.info. The page says, "Ray ID: 74d049563e632d73". Happens on several computers with various configurations and I think it's been going on for a while. Not a big problem but I thought I'd let you know.

So I was running the Gauntlet and Electric Funeral came up. Finding the key on a shelf in the south-eastern corner wasn't a problem, getting out alive was. The gate and the lightning trap seem to synchronized in such a way that it's impossible to do. I tried waiting for a while to see if they get out of sync, using tabis and speed boosts but no dice. I'm not stuck or anything, just curious if I'm missing something here.

You assumed correctly. However, you can speed up the in-game timer using Cheat Engine or similar means. Even with the waiting time cut down to less than a minute it's still quite a pain.

I would speak in favor of such a buff. A feat and 10 Con is a hefty price to pay for an immunity to a single status effect, and it should give you an advantage when facing enemies that inflict it. With the introduction of Greater Coil Spiders, Thick Skull can actually be a liability. Try getting in a fight with a group of these buggers and they'll chain-daze you every turn.

Give Bernard two sets of plates, get one set of higher quality in return.

Maybe an option to do this with any metal. I don't think I've ever seen a set of tungsten plates above 120-ish quality.
