Seems like a thinly disguised funding endeavour for Infusion.

That said, I will absolutely fund the development of Infusion.

I believe you find some down there somewhere.

Well, I certainly did a double, triple and quadruple check of the caverns before advancing. Looted every locker, footlocker, desk and box there is with ≤135 hacking/lockpicking and took as much with me as was allowed by the carry limit with a +50 belt.
You could say it broke canon the way I scrubbed all those rooms clean of any possible danger or lootables before engaging in the final fight.

Tchort isn't immune to bleeding. Also if you destroy all tanks he doesn't regenerate.

The tentacles still regenerate and the tchortlings respawn. Between killing them and shooting Tchort whenever I had the chance I got him down to about 700hp before running out of bolts on my first attempt. And I would've ran out of repair kits soon anyway.

Well, if you have been crafting your own bolts, you ought to have snagged some of those corrosive acid glands from the labrynth worms and at least checked what the bolts look like.  They are the key to xbows beating tchort.

Still requires Biology and Chemistry, neither of which I have and even if I wanted to I couldn't leave Deep Caverns to level them up.

You just said you did make them, "about 50 of each type", so which is it?

I have never even seen a "corrosive acid bolt" before checking the wiki just now, so I thought you meant the regular acid bolts.

I was able to beat Tchort after doing the mutagen puzzle. Not sure if the game glitched out but none of the tchortlings aggroed until the very final turns of the fight which made it a lot easier. Still took about an hour of repetitive back-and-forth and was the most unfun time I've had during the entire playthrough.

Corrosive acid bolts make tchort a breeze; you shouldnt have had trouble.
Yeah well I don't have them nor do I have the recipe for them. Nor any of the skills required for crafting them.
I'm sure there are other builds that can handle Tchort just fine. That was never my complaint.

I'm not saying resisting 949 mechanical damage is bullshit, but it kinda is.

You didn't make any corrosive acid bolts?  No crit chance boosts?

I did. I had about 50 of each type of elemental bolt on top of the 500 regular bolts. Crits don't really make much of a difference when the damage that goes through the damage treshold is so low to begin with.

I've been using knives and crossbows, specializing in stealth, special bolts and status effects. I didn't follow any pre-made build but I did plan mine out. You can see it here if you wish.

I'm level 25 when entering the Tchort fight. I fare well in combat. I won the arena ages ago, and I can kill all sorts of raiders and random encounters, even death stalkers and tchortlings in the deep caverns without an issue.

But I can't kill Tchort. Neither can Tchort kill me. I walked in with 4 TNT's (got lucky, didn't know it was a thing), destroyed the tanks with stealth. Then I spent 3 REAL LIFE HOURS exchanging blows with Tchort. He's immune to bleeding, immune to status effects, and my low-dmg weaponry which does just fine against human, animal and robot enemies found elsewhere in the game barely offsets the damage he regens. I used over 500 bolts, 50 bandages and countless batteries with nothing gained. It's not difficult to stay alive or to do damage, but the numbers just won't work out. I ran out of bolts before he ran out of HP.

Now I know the correct solution is to load an earlier save and do the Mutagen puzzle, but it really sucks having to resort to checking the wiki to find a clue how to advance, when so far the game has done nothing but reward and reinforce that the build I've been using works and is viable. And it is viable. Viable against every single enemy in the game except for the final boss. After 100 hours it feels a little cheap losing to an enemy just because they have a bunch of "immunities" to every tool in my toolbox. Well, technically I didn't even lose. I can stay alive indefinitely. But I can't win either.

Eidein in the elevator.

"Descent" instead of "descend".
Descent is a noun, descend is a verb.

Yeah I'm getting a "Failed to load the saved game" error too.

Happens with every save, as well as newly created saves. However, if I load from the main menu the saves load just fine, so they don't seem corrupted. Only loading (or quick loading) from in-game is bugged.

Great stuff. I'm still unsure as to whether I'd like to pick up a Deck, but if I do games like Underrail are exactly what I would want to play on it.

When speaking to Olivia at the Foundry mines after killing the Beast her response to "How do you feel now that the mine has reopened?" reads:

"[...]I heard you helped helped in some way[...]"

It's intended. There are quite a few of these hidden throughout the world.

Oh. I thought that might be the case, but I had never seen one before.

Development Log / Re: Dev Log #66: Shiny Particles

Even with these particle effects the game should run on any hardware that has been commercially available in the past 15 years.

My computer is 6 years old and while running the game the CPU usage goes up to a whopping 15% while the GPU stays at 7% and jumps to 8% when there's lots of explosions on the screen.
