Suggestions / Re: Quality of life suggestions
« on: February 17, 2020, 09:59:36 pm »
Anyway, it speeds things up a little to know that you don't have to click from inventory.  If you single-click the empty window in the crafting dialog, it automatically grabs the next eligible item from your inventory, so you only move from the window down to the craft button.  It's a bit faster and less carpal-tunnel-inducing especially when doing bulk crafting or disassembling.

A reasonable suggestion. I'd just have to dump the stuff I don't want recycled on the ground. Appreciate your reply!

Suggestions / Quality of life suggestions
« on: February 17, 2020, 06:03:49 am »
Just played through for the fourth time (this last time on hard), so I obviously love the game. I'd like to suggest a few interface tweaks that would, in my opinion, improve the player's quality of life. I would suspect that some players would find these suggestions quite trivial, but in my mind they are little things that are annoying.

1. The ability to be able to sort inventory items by weight, be that the entire inventory or just the inventory category one is interested in;

2. The ability to filter the inventory, much like you already do with the "feats" and "specialization" lists;

3. Move the inventory tab on the far right (Inventory minus quest items) to the on the far left of the inventory tabs as the default tab. I find that when I pull up the inventory, the first thing I do is click on the (inventory minus quest items tab) because I rarely need to look at the quest items and the quest items can take up a lot of space;

4. I find there is too much mouse movement when crafting, especially when your doing something repetitious, such as "recycle item": you have to keep moving your mouse from the inventory window to the "Create" button and back. Would love it if the player could bind a key to the "create" button. That is, the player could then stop moving the mouse so far by double-clicking on the item in the inventory then pressing the key bound to the "Create" button.

For the sake of context,  I'm almost 60 and am starting to find precise mouse work a little harder these days... Absolutely love the game!

How did you come to possess such great wisdom in the ways of virtual fishing?! ;-)

Appreciate the clarification.

General / Found New Location for Ghostface (SPOILERS)
« on: January 31, 2020, 07:52:05 pm »
After scouring the threads for tips on catching a Ghostface prior to Deep Caverns, I was led to believe that the only place they could be found was the sewers next to the Acid Hunters lair.  Well, I just caught one in the Black Sea in sector (A-1)6 (see attached screenshots).

Don't know whether this is an extremely rare random event or whether this is a standard location for Ghostface. Just thought people struggling with the fishing quest might want to know this...

Suggestions / Additional filters for stores/inventory
« on: January 30, 2020, 05:31:21 pm »
There is a lot of inventory management, especially if you are a crafter. I would like to suggest that additional filters/sorting be introduced such as sort by weight and sort by value. It would also be nice if you introduced a text filter like the one you find to search for feats.

Thank you for making such a great game!!

Bugs / Re: Item properties window will randomly become 3x its normal size

It's set to extra large (for my old eyes). I'll try changing it back to normal and see if that resolves the issue...

Just another JPEG to illustrate the problem...

Bugs / Item properties window will randomly become 3x its normal size
« on: January 19, 2020, 06:16:29 pm »
As stated in the subject, the game seems to randomly show the item propertie window at 3x its normal size. If I run my mouse along the the item shown in the inventory window, most will have the properties window exactly as it should be, then suddenly when you go on to the next item the properties window is the wrong size and in the wrong place.

In case it's because of my hardware setup, I have three screens at 2560x1440 and I'm running the game fullscreen at 1440x900 on monitor 1.

I also just want to take the time to give you kudos on the awesome work you've done on this game. It's very rare for me to get attached to any particular game and the last time I remember being so blown away at a games awesomeness was when I played Fallout 1&2 in 1997/98. Underrail rightfully deserves its place alongside the best classic RPGs!!
