The keycard is for opening the second door to the back area of the magatzin (warehouse) where you'll find the quest item. To get there you can hack through the first door or walk past the guards from the north side from the direction of the stairs that lead up to the officer's quarters.

I feel stupid like I never felt before... The person who invented this cipher, must be absolutely genious... I did all I could and tried to figure out anything, but without any succes. All is just nonsense and abra-cadabra...

Hi, I solved yours for you and from what I see there are two possibilities. Here is your deciphered text.

1. DREAMS OF 3 ASPHIXIATION (The reason this is underlined is that it appears to be a mistake in the octave key where it should be 4 instead of 1. Possibly this 1 is part of the code)
2. SERVANT 3 DANCE
3. MARRIAGE OF A 2 SUBISLANDER
4. MARCH OF SEVEN THE PROTECTORS.

First I would try 3327 as your code. If that doesn't work then try 3132.

Hope this helps.

My question is a more stupid one: How to enter Nexus of Technology? The main gate is sealed and the electronic lock is on the other side. There appears to be a path to the east but I don't have the agility to jump. I cannot find a visible path with jet ski, either.

Keep exploring the path to the east on foot, eventually you'll get around and inside.

Does anyone know specific condition under which "Nexus of Technology" counts as explored?
I've explored all the levels, found quest item "Fold-M 7" & some sort of security card. Only thing that is left "vault" for which I haven't solved the puzzle.

Yes, there's a device in the desk next to the computer next to the vault. You have to use it and that satisfies the conditions.

I think I know what the problem is. I've been playing Expedition on easy for the first go so maybe on easy they just give you the code straight up. So let me explain how to solve for the cipher for the alphabet. A little bit more complicated.

Okay, so here the octave keys are important. The first, second and third number of each octave key refers to the octave number (360 for example).

For our first octave block (Letters A to L) we will start counting at octave 6 and apply only the first interval key in the same way I've described. eg. Major 7th (11 semitones) so therefore A=B3 (as in Octave level 3) B=C4 (because we've reached a new octave level now) C=C#4 and so on.

For the second octave block (Letters M-X) you apply the first and second interval keys and use the second number of the octave key as the starting point. e.g. (Major 7th (11 semitones) Perfect 4th (5 semitones) We will count 16 semitones from C6, this means our second cipher block will start at M=E7 and so on until U=C8.

Do the same for the third octave block (Y, Z 0-9) using the first and third interval key and the third number of the octave key. For example in this one (Major 7th (11 semitones) and minor 6th (8 semitones) so we count 19 from C0. This will then start at Y=G1 and so on.

Now that you have your cipher completed you can start decoding the text. For example (the first 3 numbers were used earlier so they aren't part of the text!):

First Octave key: (360)74477744787 (These numbers refer to which octave level/number to choose from. Listed in the superscript above)
First line of text: GbDEb BGb BGbEb BbCF (There refer to which note to chose in the cipher)

So for this example the text will be "ODE TO THE SUN"

You can then repeat this for the rest of the text. On harder difficulties maybe the octave keys change so you have to develop a new cipher each time. In which case follow the steps from the beginning. Hopefully this answers everybody's questions. If you really can't do it leave a post with all the info (Text, Interval keys and Octave keys) here and I'll look at it and help if I can. As for the code I'm not sure how you'll pull it from the text but I guess it remains to be seen.

General / Abyss Zero Station L2
« on: July 25, 2019, 11:20:59 am »
Hi,

I was given the quest to search for the Acorn at Abyss Zero Station but for some reason the quest log ticked it off immediately even though I hadn't been there. So anyway I went there and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I found the subsphere but all I can do is look at it. There are no entrances to any buildings on the map.

Help?

(sorry about the watermark)
This is an Image that has the information from both of the computers.
Edit: I think I see my problem from looking at the screen shot how could I have missed that...
Edit2: my code should actually be F# Eb G Ab = 6378 but that does not work ether.

The only thing I can think of is that I'm using the wrong piece of the music, am I?
Edit3: Do you think its glitched and it just wont except the password?

You're looking at the wrong screen for the admin computer. The code to the door is not part of that text, it says it somewhere else in that same mail specifically what the notes for the code are, below I think. I will try to find an example for you in a moment.

Edit: See below in the image. The code should be included with this text. It's in the admin computer under the 2nd option.

Bugs / L2 Crawl under door
« on: July 25, 2019, 07:43:50 am »
Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just brainless. But in this area there's an option to crawl under the door to find some spiders and goodies, but when trying to crawl back out nothing will happen and I had to reload a save to get out and continue on without looking in there. Playing on the latest build.

I was going to edit that part out because the octave keys are only important if you want to solve the rest of the cipher for the alphabet and find their favourite musical pieces. But anyway, make sure you check the interval keys for Mickey (or whoever's code you found on the computer on the Admin level, not sure if it changes) in the computer next to the vault, if you use anybody else's keys it won't work.

For the example F# Eb G A, with interval keys of Major 7th and Major 7th (each 11 semitones as you said) you'll start with Y at A#/Bb, which then means the code should be as you said. This is the way I solved it. If you like you can post some screenshots from both of the terminals with the code and the interval keys and I'll have a look later.

Maybe I lost my brain but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do here. I opened the vault and everything but where do I get the info to finish the quest for exploring it?

Thanks in advance.

I solved it. To all those who are struggling read this.

Firstly, there are two sets of info you need. One is one the Admin level on a computer and contains a text of Musical notes, the only one you need to note down is the code and it'll look something like (Bb C A B) in musical notation.

Next is the info on the terminal next to the vault in the Security Tech section. In this you'll find a set of Interval and Octave keys for each person who worked there. Find the one that matches Mickey (he was the person whose terminal you got the code from, not sure if it changes) and note down the 1st and 3rd interval keys (Major third, perfect 6th, whatever it is) and the 3rd number in the octave keys (they should all have the same 3rd number). The rest is fluff if you're only interested in getting into the vault.

To make the cipher for the numbers you'll need to read a little about music theory but if you don't want to, the interval keys match a number called a semitone. Let's say you have interval keys of major 7th (11 semitones) and minor 6th (8 semitones) add these together and then count through the 12 notes of an octave C to B until you've raised it by 19 in our case our cipher will start at the note G, which corresponds to the letter Y (because the 3rd block of octaves corresponds to Y, Z and numbers 0-9 which is what we want).

Following through the musical notes you'll find that Ab=Z, A=0, Bb-1 etc. This means our code from the example above will be 1302.

Hope this helps, write if you have any questions.

I have the exact same problem. I managed to solve the cipher but I can't figure out how the information in the octave keys relates to the cipher. If there's any logic in it or I'm supposed to brute force it. For example, there are lots of fours in the keys, but how do I know which four refers to which letter when it there could be 10 possible options. Maybe I'm missing something.

But yes help would be good.
