Builds / Creating Psi Monk help me.

First time playing. Keep hearing conflicting info about using Dex or STR. So what would be a good way to build a psi monk? Also how is pure psi? I have heard its loses fun once you hit end game becasue every fight is just you walking in and leveling the place.
