Builds / Need help with dominating sniper build skill distribution

The feat order isn't as tight as in the other builds, that i'm really concerned about is metathermics/throwing dilemma.
Because throwng seems to be the only reliable way to proc ambush in dark areas and i picked metathermics only to ThermoD "bosses", but iirc bosses dont usually stand close to a lot of other enemies.
Should i just drop it completely, or maybe just having like 70 effective will do it for bosses, and that way i can also have throwing?
Want to use shotgun/electroshock pistol as a sidearm if that matters.
P.S. I know pickpocketing that high is (kind of) useless, but i never played with it and just want to have it, i know it is possible to substract like 20-40 points from it, but thats to be seen further into the game.

There's also this option, which i'm leaning towards, since i'm not sure if all the locations in the game have dark spots, and all i need from snipers are crits, but there's still a possibility to craft high quality gear using all-in.

General / Non-crafted weapons

So, are there any usable non crafted weapons? I mean not the top quality, but do they spawn with mods so that electroshock pistol can be usable as non-crafting build? I remember seeing a few silenced pistols/scoped rifles in the game but thats it. Is there a reliable way of getting one, maybe special merchandise, or high tier loot?

Builds / Dominating crit psi question

So i'm thinking of psi build and it's not so clear for me if i should use metathermics+psychokinesis or just solo psychokinesis. Well for me it seems that there is just no point in not taking it, as it's superior to PK for most organics, and there is no way to buff PK for it being a single school, aside from 10% spell cost. Is this how it is or am i missing something?

Yeah, i decided to give up on that, without melee it doesnt deal good enough damage(maybe with energy edge its fine), and if i'm pumping all my pts into melee i could have just take any other weapon skill.
Guess it can be used to make +1 attack with Tichrome spear after sweep, so you dont have to max throwing and just play a regular melee build, but imo thats it.

Builds / Viable spear throw build?

So i want to make a character more or less focused on a spear throw, but it just doesn't seem useful at all.

All i can see generally is 2 options:

Full dexterity for throwing knives last hits and grenade feats, but three pointer and grenadier are just more than enough (especially if you spec into three pointer) to obliterate any encounter and if not, do it on a second turn. Which makes it sort of pointless, since you want to last hit enemies with your knives.

Or just a strength build based on crits, in which case spear throw is not needed since you're a glass cannon and (imo) should one shot everything anyway, meanwhile not maxing dex will result in low thc for non-incapacitated(or similiar) targets, and using ap to increase your thc and not cc seems a waste.


All in all i just cant think of any build that utilizes the spear throw effectively and not just for the sake of it being used.

Have anyone played it or have an idea of that such build should be like?
