Suggestions / Undo Last Movement
« on: June 09, 2023, 05:19:33 am »I recently started playing Under Rail and another game I played recently called The Last Spell had something that I think should just be standard in all crpg games. The feature is an undo last movement button. This is not undo last action, simply undo last character movement.
In my experience thus far with Under Rail, combat can sometimes start completely out of nowhere and while I'm walking. With this happening I'll often missclick my movement to move to a really dumb spot because I didn't mean to. Additionally sometimes the hitboxes can be a bit confusing and when I mean to attack a character I'll end up moving due to the hitbox not being super clear. This feature would alleviate both of these issues, and I cannot really think of any downsides other than being able to see enemies before they might appear on screen by moving and then undoing it. This abusable downside isn't too bad however, as this game already has a reputation for save-scumming and any surprise enemies are already found through those means anyway. I also feel that such a specific downside is easily outweighed by the benefits of potentially having to reload saves less due to miss clicks, this in turn should make the overall combat experience less clunky.
