As far as I remember, monsters dropping Prednisone in Hollow Earth can still respawn while you're stuck in Deep Caverns, so farming at this point is perfectly feasible. However, after you defeat the final boss of this area, the endgame event will begin. Therefore, the answer is: Farm now. Good luck with your LMG!
