Suggestions / Re: Shadowrun Returns-style healing?
« on: March 04, 2017, 01:00:51 am »
I'm not sure I understand the need for another source of healing. Is it abnormal that I'm swimming in healing items near the end of the game? I tend to store a couple hundred in my loot barrel so I don't get weighed down and often sell extras to doctors since I know I'll never need so many. I've only played as glass cannons like pure psi and sniper so when I get hit it hurts but almost every human enemy carries healing items so even if I'm taking damage and needing to heal I'm still finding more than I use.

As far as that new feat to give a 20% psi cost reduction in exchange for losing another 25% max hp goes, psi has been doing just fine without it all this time so I don't see the point in even taking it.

It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure Jack is supposed to be hanging around here as a merchant after finishing all of his related quests. I believe this save was last played on 1.0.0.9 before updating to 1.0.2.4. It's not really a big deal for me since he's not such a good merchant, but if the same thing happens to people who haven't finished his questline it could be a problem.

Gog finally updated to 1.0.1.10 and this is still not fixed.

This is still an issue as of 1.0.1.9. 1.0.1.10 isn't available on gog yet so can't tell if it was fixed there but didn't see it listed in patch notes. Either utilizing more of the empty space in the tooltip or making a very small font size option would probably work to fix this.

Haven't played for a while and this was the first thing I noticed when loading my game with the latest patch. I play in 1280x720 windowed mode and changing the font size in the interface tab of the options from auto to small had no effect.

General / Re: What's the point of silenced weapons?

Silent kills worked really well on my psionic playthrough since the quiet skills are also strong. My current sniper playthrough can't really get silent kills since 5mm is the only type you can add a silencer to which is too weak to kill most things in a single turn.

Psionics are OP. Stacking Crit damage is OP. Together you get to 1shot the boss. I never even attempted the mutagen puzzle as I stumbled into the final boss room while exploring before going back to my loot pile to bring the mutagens I had collected.

For anyone wondering how, I had 16 will and an effective thought control skill of 305 with my headband and psi beetle armor. My crit damage bonus was 287% with the feat, headband, and trance drug. With this it was just a matter of first using mental breakdown to double the effectiveness of the next thought control ability and then forcing a crit with psionic mania before using neural overload.

I've also seen the post of the guy who did 5k damage. He mentioned that the crit damage bonus of one of the unique melee weapons applied to psionic abilities but he never answered which one it was and I couldn't figure it out myself or maybe I just never found it. I think he was probably also using toxic gas grenades for the contaminated debuff.
