If you enter G12 from G11, a chunk of the zone transition leads to non-traversable tiles

marked the offending tiles with an orange line

Just a plasma version of shock shurikens, with the blueprint being found in the same places you can find the plasma mine & plasma grenade blueprints, or maybe being exclusively from the Coretech faction merchant

The objective to join the expedition doesn't automatically fail

I entered the black sea on my own, joined pirates & turned Aegis hostile, even retrieved the acorn already
