General / Grey army spec ops armor?

I see it on the wiki, I've murdered half their base but there's not one guy holding it yet, most are grenediers, gunners, a few snipers and luitenants, none of whom have it.

Hi guys. I wanted to make a stealth + crossbow + traps build, with light crafting and lockpick/hacking. I am not sure though if crossbows, sneaking and traps are versatile enough or I need something else. A tazer is something I'd take for sure, but not sure if I should maybe bump int, take versatile and get another weapon type.

I don't know what the main breakpoints for some of the skills, so please let me know if I should bump or lower them:

General / Stealth character - SMG or Xbow?

Hey, so I want to make a stealth character, but I'm curious how they pan out playing later on.

My basis is this - smg, low str/con, max dex and go with throwing grenades, crafting (everything but biology) hit n run, supressive fire, opportunst, commando and basically dump all on burst mode. Invest in dodge/evasion later. However I am concerned with how this character would deal with people using bulletproof vests, especially those that are burn immune so I can't CC them with molotovs. I guess I should look for a jaguar + muzzle break + smart module + 5 or 7 mil?

The other build is xbow, again dump str/con but focus on perception and the obvious traps. Maybe try throwing without putting points in it, but not sure, xbows seem to really struggle early on and molotovs are the bread and butter to control enemies. I guess perk selection is obvious here, just trap and xbow synergy. Here I'd get the zephyr because of highest  crit multiplier coupled with anatomically aware scope and super string, very obvious choice. Though I have no clue what to get as a 2nd xbow.

What do you think the perks of each playstyle are and how do you think they fair later in the game?

General / Rathound king question [SPOILERS]

Ok so I made it to his lair and he wants me to kidnap Sarine. Has anyone done it without having to actually butcher the entire camp? That makes the mission very unappealing to me, as I practically lose the town in the process.

General / Stealth - specialize or hybrid?

Hey guys. I haven't been playing the alpha for a bit, not wanting to spoil the game, but now I'm ready to tackle it since it's out.

First thing I wanted to ask - before I try and fail - is it advisible to make a stealth character that can be both good at melee (knives) and ranged (pistos? xbows? snipers?), and do I have to lose out on "adventure" skills like crafting, hacking, pickpocketing etc.
 
I have no interest in psi abilities with this character.

Hey all, I've dropped in to check the status of the game once again, and I'm interested in doing a re-run and see how its been going. Since I always favored stealthy characters, I was wondering if a dex/agi based backstabber would go, and what do you guys suggest as auxiliary skills to deal with stuff you can't.. well.. stab?

I was thinking maybe dropping will since I don't intend to use psi and putting some points in perc so I can use guns? Or just forget about firearms and focus on throwing for ranged attacks? What has worked for you?

General / Stealth melee build?

I was looking forward to the cut-throat melee build I planned out but it simply isn't working out for me, I'm about to hit the Junkyard and I've done pretty much everything up to that point.

8 str 8 dex 7 agi 3 will 5 perc 5 int

specced in melee, stealth, hacking, lockpicking, mechanical, pickpocket, dodge, evasion. I completely skipped out on any psi powers (maybe this is the problem?).

with a 10-16ish knife I barely do any damage, while the guy with the crossbow crits me for 70ish damage. I can take out solitary targets but I've realized they are practically non-existent and there is no way to lure someone away with a "whisper" feat or a distraction-inducing item (which would be cool).

Some of them like stealth and pickpocket really look off to me, are they going to be remade - I am a big fan of pixel art but some of the current icons look like placeholders to me.

I guess I could do an examples since I do graphic design.

When will we get portraits for each character? What is their style (can we have an example)?

This helps identify a person much more than a mere name would, the portraits have always been a cornerstone in defining characters in isometric RPGs and I can't wait to start seeing them in UR.
