General / Can crossbow be the main weapon?

Hello,everyone! 
One of my friend suggested this game to me on 18th,then I purchased it.I found this game is very funny!The price is very cheap(only 45 RMB) though,the gameplay is more attractive than Fallout4.
It is more "Fallout" than Fallout 3&4,thanks the devs!you did a great masterpiece for our old-school RPG fans!The price is very cheap(only 45 RMB) though,the gameplay is more attractive than Fallout4.
Based on my experience of Fallout 2,My first character was a gunslinger,but I found gunslinger is very hard,so I created my second character,this time I use crossbow as my main weapon.Durings first quests crossbow can deal with most of rathounds,but it becomes weaker and weaker since more and more heavy armor enemy appears.
I guess maybe I am wrong?but for now my character is LV9,and I have spent 50 skill points on her.
Do I need to create a new character?or there's any way to undo it？
