General / Is it ok to play in Oddity mod with a low PER build?

The whole question is on the title.

I played 2 different builds with high PER and it was a pleasure to explore each level and find a lot of secrets guiding to hidden passage with secret Oddities.

I'm going to start a build with 3 PER: should I still play in Oddity or would it be "safer" to play in classic? I know the game has been created to play in Oddity but I prefer to ask.

Builds / Start a new run for the extension : Psy build help [Resolved]

Hi everyone,

With the extension coming at the end of the month, I will start a new run. In order to suffer a bit less than the previous one, I would like to do a Psy build but something relatively efficient (without doing min/max like a perfectionist). Is it possible to have a solid psy build who knows how to use sub machine guns?

What do you think about this build (level 1)?

Suggestions / Reset Skills during a game

Hi,

I created a build based on Intelligence, Intimidation & Crossbow. I played more than 80 hours and I am now at the end (really practically). I realized over there that my build is too weak.

I was thinking: would it be possible to reset our build from scratch like once or twice during a full game?

I stopped recently the game because of that. No matter what I do and how lucky I am, my build is not really offensive so I am blocked.

Do you think this is something you could integrate?

General / Requesting a new psi build

Hi guys,

I would like to start a second run soon (and try to finish the game this time ). My 1st run was on oddity mod with a crossbow fighter. I would like to play in classic mod this time and see the difference. I was thinking about psy fighter with high lockpicking/hacking.

What would be the best to do according to your experience? Yes, I need to put the "Will" at 8 or 9... But except that?

Builds / Unarmed/Boxing Gloves Build

I am thinking to a second playthrough with a totally different character than my current one.

Playing a strong melee fighter who could hack and unlock everything would be good.

General / Deep Cavern - Get required elements without being killed by Faceless

Hi everyone,

First, I would like to thank you for your previous advice concerning Deep Cavern. This area is like hell...

I finally arrived at the big gate then I went inside and I need to repair the mechanism. What I have for now:

- Tool Set (apparently I have everything I need)
- Mycokardia
- Some Mutagen (blue things)
- Electricity is restored at Ark Station
- Leo's Knife has been found


I know I need to find other stuffs (and a lot apparently). However, Faceless hate me a lot and even if I can kill one of them, 5 more will come like 2 minutes after. Alone with by crossbow, that's not possible.

I know I need to go back to the area south of Caerus Block (I guess doors will open now because electricity has been restored).

For the rest, can I found element without going to Faceless areas? I ask you that because for now, I do a lot of quick save/quick load because of this endless enemies repop...

I am sure I am not so far from the End but it's litterally impossible to walk on some areas.

General / How to be accepted by Faceless in Deep Cavern?

Hi,

I have walking for some time now on the Deep Cavern. I killed the Pulsating roots, saw some ghosts and checked some areas.

The problem is that whenver I want to go East, Faceless don't want to let me pass. After some time (and without any idea), I killed them but it cost me a lot of ammo (I only use a crossbow). I arrived at the Ark Station and over there, I am litterally blocked agains Industrial Bot (they are too much solid for my crossbow ammo).

1) Is there a way to be friendly with the faceless? On the past, I saved the injured Faceless on Core City but I have to kill some when I saved Buzzer and when I tried to escape with the elevator.
2) After beating a lot of coil spiders on the Utility station, I arrive on the "main hall" I think and I am litterally blocked by Industrial robot: stealth does not work.

I don't know what to do... Again, would you please help me to take the right decision?

General / Deep Cavern - Did I follow the good way to the Ark Station ?

Hi,

I am currently on the Deep Cavern, my ammo is not unlimited so I just would like to be sure that I did not do anything wrong.

1) I killed the Pulsating Root and I picked up all items it had on it.
2) I escaped this damn mushroom forest after.
3) Tchortist camp on West is an ally.
4) Faceless on East did not want to let me pass, so I had to kill them. Problem: some faceless are invisible and they ruin my character easily so I just escaped to the North as fast as I could.
5) After some areas, I arrived to a kind of Centre where a camera is talking to me. I guess I have to find keycards and another special items here.

Am I on the right way? Do I need to come back at Tchortist station after? Because invisible faceless are still alive... And I don't want to fight them

General / Deep Cavern - What to do after Mycokardia ?

Hello,

I am currently in deep cavern. First, let me tell you something dear developers. The game is good but the deep cavern part is too much hardcore. I hope you are not going to frustrate more users like that in your extension....

Let's go back to the cavern. I walked on the cavern and I finally found a way to kill the Pulsating Root: I picked up the oddity and the Mycokardia.

However, there are too much enemies there and I cannot climb on the root. Is that passage obligatory or is there another way to get to the destination of this climb?  As we cannot clim during combat (which is more frustrating), I don't know what to do because there are these towers mushrooms and another mushroom which comes from nowhere.

Really... I would need some help because it's really frustrating.

Let's Plays / Let's Play Underrail Oddity Mod - French

Hi guys,

I discovered this game during its anticipate access and as soon as the final version came out, I started doing a French let's play about it. This game is great, excellent and sometimes really tough but I am happy to play it as a fan of Fallout 1, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc...

I chose the Oddity mod which add an interesting way to play the game. As I like to search every drawers, trashes, rooms, etc in order to find treasure, this mod was perfect for me and I don't regret it. I play a character with high INT and PER and I fight with Crossbow and a little bit grenades. I can hack and unlock everything.

I am playing Underrail doing my weekly stream (Sunday afternoon, EST Time Zone) and I have 2 questions:
- Is there any way to deal with Doppelganger if you have 0 psy ability?
- I just infiltrated the Tchortist Clan (to achieve the main quest): am I really far from the End? I would like to finish it
