General / Did I mess up by not taking Electronics for my sniper?

I have a sniper/crafting build. I'm on normal so I have some leeway. But I'm a bit concerned that maybe crafting sniper rifles is pointless without electronics.

I went for: Str 5, Agi 9, Per 10, Int 7, all else 3. For skills I went with: Guns, Evasion, Stealth, Hack, Lock, Traps, Mechanics, Tailor.

I'm starting to think I should have dropped tailor for electronics, as I don't think it adds much.

What does everyone think? If it is just a bit of a mistake, is there a saved game editor so I don't have to start again?

Bugs / Unplayable bug: Can't see my character or any other character

I can't see my character, any NPCs or enemies. The intro moves around like it's focusing on whoever is speaking but no one is there. I steal in the tutorial and vencel attacks and kills me, but I can't see or target him. I open the door and something is doing damage to me, there are spots I can't walk on, but whatever is there is as invisible as I am, only it can attack me and I can't target it.

I've tried: restarting, reinstalling, changing the resolution, full screen/windowed, vsync on/off, deleting config.dat and running in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

I'm using the gog version.

I've been unable to even find anyone else effected by the same bug. Any ideas to try?
