Suggestions / Mail order item components for a high price
« on: January 15, 2021, 11:26:28 am »
One thing that annoys me is how you have to wait for merchants to reset when looking for specific crafting components.
There should be a merchant who lets you order a component you want for a much higher fee.

You can select what item and what quality it will be, you can only order one part at a time and you must pay upfront before your order will be placed.
The component is guaranteed in the exact quality you want it, but the price and wait time for the part increases the higher the quality is, an item you may be able to find for 1000 charons can be ordered for 5000 charons with a wait of 30 in-game days.

Suggestions / Customizable Difficulty
« on: August 11, 2020, 12:24:15 am »
It would be great if we could choose to have features from higher difficulties such as harder encounters, better AI, and EMPs affecting inventory items without changes to stats.
I'm not alone in thinking this, I've seen people say that the "health bloat" on dominating is too, and personally I think that Health hypos healing for 40 health with a 12 turn cooldown is a bit overboard.

So maybe have Easy/Normal/Hard/Dominating as pre-set difficulties with an option to pick which settings you'd like for a custom difficulty.
Though I would say exclude the Easy stats from this, because honestly no one needs 160-200 health from a standard Hypo, that's game journalist tier.

Suggestions / Luck stat
« on: November 08, 2019, 12:22:40 pm »
It affects everything from crits to the quality of materials, except hit chance, hit chance is unaffected for balance reasons.

6-18 luck improves everything luck based with diminishing returns, examples: 5 luck - quality 50, 6 luck - quality 90, 7 luck - quality 115, 8 luck - quality 125, ect
5 luck gets you what we have now
4 luck gets you a 50% increase in bad stuff happening to you, bad materials, less crits, more enemy crits
3 luck means nothing good will ever happen, every enemy attack is a critical, every material is it's lowest quality, you will always get your lowest damage possible, flashbangs never incapacitate.

Suggestions / Sledgehammer feat to break through walls
« on: November 05, 2019, 08:08:26 am »
Requires 13 strength to pick, allows you to break through some walls such as wood and fences up to cement and rock, the stronger the wall more strength you'll need to break through it, walls made of metal and such materials cannot be broken.
Exterior walls that lead to other zones sometimes have cracks in them that can be broken to make a new entrance, otherwise they cannot be broken down.
Can be preformed in combat for 15 AP and a cooldown of 3 turns.
Also allows the breaking of rocks without explosives or a jackhammer.

Useful for surprise attacks.

Suggestions / Spear Throw specialization: Sledgehammer

You can put 1 point into it, it allows you to throw sledgehammers for half the accuracy and damage of spears you throw.

Now you have to eat every few minutes to keep living, if you run out you begin slowly starving to death, healing items are half as effective while starving.

Suggestions / New creation option: Randomized Enemies
« on: October 29, 2019, 07:29:01 pm »
Tired of knowing what to expect? Check this new box at creation to get a completely new game experience every time you do it!
You can still select what difficulty and XP type you want, so feel free to pick Dominating with this option on.

The map and friendly NPC placement stay the same, but now enemies are randomized when you finish character creation.
Depot A may be full of Rathounds or it may be full of Azuridae Goliathus', maybe Balor has an army of Crawlers with him, or maybe you'll have to fight a mob of psi welding Lunatics in the arena instead of rathounds?
It's all up to fate!

Bugs / Foundry Gunner permanently blocking the door to Mayor's office
« on: October 01, 2019, 07:04:37 pm »
I don't know if this is really a bug or some fluke of code misbehaving, but I was told to report it here along with the save file https://files.catbox.moe/jazub8.zip

Sort version is I went to foundry and did the murder quest without talking to the mayor and afterwards could not get into the office to talk to him, and because I never talked to the Mayor, trying to talk to the chief says that he's engaged in a conversation still.
To fix it I used Exothermic Aura to make the Foundry Gunner move out of the way, from there I was able to talk to the mayor and the complete my quests normally with the chief.
I killed the mugger before doing the quest and used grenades to kill him, so perhaps that had some kind of effect on the positioning of the guard.

It's not a major issue, more of an inconvenience, but since it did happen I suppose it should be mentioned.

I have Evidence of Murder and Red Cybernetic Eyeball, but I can't talk to neither the mayor nor the chief because there's a guard in the door way and it says the chief pays no attention because he's engaged in a conversation.

What am I suppose to do/have done before I can actually talk to them?
