Honestly, a medium frequency does the job as well.
It just needs to be piss poor.  ;)

I'm reasonably certain Crossbow bolts do absolutely jack against good steel armour.

You have to first click the map key, then create a whole new interface panel for it, think about how to layer up the maps (which span multiple height levels and are often above each other, and then think of names for anything worth of notice.
Having a graphical representation for the major features of those areas would also be not strictly necessary, but sort of expected.
All in all, I'd definitely file that as more than a days work.
Maybe they'll do it? Possible. But I think they have more pressing needs on their path to release.

The question is more if it's worth the effort, as I think few would argue the usefulness of such a mechanic.

Yes, it's "still" being developed.  8)
To our knowledge, this is the last version before release. How long that takes is anyones guess.
Check the devlogs for information on progress.
Oh, and I recommend against buying it on Desura. ;)

I think enemies following you was considered, but proved to be too much of a hassle to implement.
Likely in a future sequel.
I have no qualms with map names being displayed for controlled zones.

No argument there.

The problem there is that then you'd find a door to "Secret hideout of ..." or the like.
That might give things away.^^

Maybe Bret or Harold should explicitly mention "Get some TNT, Lucas has some reserved for you"?
And maybe arrows on the elevator pick list to drive home the point the caves are, in fact, down?

Underrail is "Up".
Caves are "Down".
Given that you don't ever need to actually visit the caves, technically speaking, after the junkyard quest, making said caves less accessible seems to be a good way to help players get lost less, actually.  :-X

1. I don't think it makes a difference
2. Not presently, but with exceptions. Some barrels automatically empty themselves, but most times, dropping loot on the floor or into a crate is save.
3. That's how it should work, yes.
4. Nope.

Well, it's really a difference of what. If you have enough strength, might as well go all out ARs.
SMGs are great with a variety of feats, ARs benefit more from another variety of feats.
It's definitely possible, and I encourage you to try, but it wouldn't be "min-maxed", if you're out for that.

That should definitely be implementable.
Good idea!

The bar is definitely stocked with alcoholic beverages. That's the point of a bar.  :P
If kids play a game in which you can drunk in the hopes of getting it on with a serial murderer, and kill people for money, then they'll just have to cope with alcoholic beverages.
Which they can, btw, buy in most bars.
