Any light source will do. Just stand next to it until the debuff passes and then you're safe to roam until it stacks up again.

You shouldn't be able to hide from a doppelganger, though. Will probably change that, sorry. :P

While on the subject of confirmed bachelor, are you planning to add feats that will allow special dialogue options?

I don't know, those are kind of a big commitment to implement content-wise. Maybe something simple like the mind-read from Divinity where you sometimes get a piece of useful information and sometimes you just get person's random thoughts.

Galvanic vest (component) seems to be missing from merchant stores in 0.1.9.0.

Indeed, it's missing from the loot table altogether. I fixed that for the next update.

If you can remember anything specific that happened before the initial transition fail, it might help. Like, if you had any windows opened, were you or were you not in combat, etc.

There's currently a bug that I'm tracking down which causes zone transitioning to not work at all for a while. Try restarting the game and loading again, it should start working again.

On a serious note, I'll check it out. If you are having trouble getting out of that area because of this, you can kill the old man as well, it won't affect the rest of the game.

If you mean user-created content support, possibly in the future, yes. I don't want to make any promises at this point because it would take a lot of time to make this possible, and that's the time I'm not sure I will have.

Heya,

The game will probably be available on GOG upon full release. The price will likely stay the same, I haven't decided on that yet. If you want to pay more you can always buy a second copy as a gift to someone ;)

If you want a stand-alone download you can purchase it from Desura (you can after that download the stand-alone installer from their page). However, if you're going to play through the updates I advise you to use a client download (either Steam or Desura) since you won't have to re-download the full game after each update.

Sorry about the anti-spam measures, I might have went a bit crazy since at one point they were really hitting the site hard. Will see what I can do to ease it up.
