Ok, I think I disabled them all now so it should be fixed for the next update.

Don't try to redeploy the rods, btw, they might crash your game.

You have to have Media Player installed as Windows Feature (classic won't do).

How it currently works is that some characters broadcast their hostilities locally (for those who saw the attack) and some globally (area or faction level). Currently there's no way for player to know which ones do what except through trial and error.

In the future (and this is high on priority list) I'll work on more flexible and more transparent "murder rules". Stay tuned.

It's intended for them not to be able to open doors, but I'm not too fond of that tactic so I might do something about it at one point.

One thing that comes to mind is to increase AP cost of operating doors during combat.

I've hit multiple rathounds with single special bolt, but the result is still the same after their deaths. No remains to be seen after death and no tissue sample as well. I'm sorry, I'm probably annoying the heck out of you all, but I'd really like move forward with the game and not be stuck at the same point forever. xD

After I hit them with the special bolt I'll generally switch over to my pistol (since firearms are my specialty and more favored weapon of choice). Would killing them with a gun make it so that I couldn't get the tissue samples?

No, you can finish them off however you want. Are you sure your special bolt actual hit (did damage)? Could it be that you just missed the remains, maybe? Try holding TAB after you kill it and it will highlight remains if any.

So it looks like the mindshrooms do grow back unless I'm mistaken...good call there, PSI is a lot more viable considering that.  Good to know which direction North is heh heh...Would have never guessed it.  I love how investing in lock pick and hacking pays off...it's always annoying when you invest in lock picking skills and you end up using it only occasionally.  I also feel like barter and persuasion will pay for themselves.  I'm really hooked on the game and will try to encourage people to buy it wherever possible.

I found the economy to be the hardest thing to balance so far. It's still work in progress there and will probably be until the final release, so expect changes.

Btw, mindshrooms do regrow after an hour (RL time).

bought the game and love it, finally beat it so far and the only downside i found at all was the time it took to quicksave took over 20 seconds....um is it just me or is that too long...?

20 seconds is a bit too long, so it might be partially you there. But I am aware that saving currently takes too long, especially as you get farther in the game.

I'll be looking into that in the future.

As toudi said, you only need to hit them once with the bolts and the tissue sample will appear in the remains.

If you have trouble with rathounds, try throwing using flares. They are afraid of them.

I did use a numerical key, and the cursor is "special attack filled", if you could call it that.

It seems to work, now I'm only trying to find out how I can reset the settings...
I tried a larger resolution and the accept button dissapeared from the screen and now I cant return to the normal settings  :D

Delete this file:
C:\Users\<your name>\Documents\My Games\Underrail\config.dat

That will reset all the settings.
