Hello. Not sure how I missed your answer, but only now found it by checking all replies on my posts. Well, your answer wasn't super operational too, so... Anyway, I think better later, then never. I'm attaching the log. Even if it's the old version, maybe it will be still useful, if still not fixed. Uploading some cybernetic modules Use it wisely ;)

Found the bug and fixed it for the next version. Cheers.

Also, if I haven't mentioned before, thank you for the playthrough video you've done back in January and the well thought-out review afterwards. ;)

General / Re: Is the "friendly NPC" bug completely unfixable?
« on: June 01, 2017, 01:22:43 pm »
I was able to kill the Rathound King and still keep Edgar alive by using Molotov + CC on the King. After the combat, one of the hunters walks straight into the flames (!), causing Edgar to become hostile and one-shot me.

A literal case of friendly fire.

But on a serious note, both of these issues (friendly fire and remote hostility propagation) bother me as well, but unforunately there are no quick solutions that can be applied here.

I have some ideas how to deal with the latter in a sense that I can at least let the player know when the hostilities will propagate and when it's (relatively) safe to assassinate someone without instantly becoming hostile with a large faction. We already took a step in this direction with the "leave no witnesses" indicator.

As for the former problem - it would take a lot more work because here I'm limited by rather rudimentary AI system which is not well disposed to dealing with environmental stuff.

I'm aware that the energy pistols are somewhat lackluster both in efficiency and the fun-factor and I intend to address this at some point. Hopefully I can do this before(/with) the expansion release, but don't hold me to it.

I don't have a native 16:10 monitor to test this unfortunately. What is the native resoultion of your monitor? Also, what do you mean by doesn't scale properly exactly?

Fixed for the next update.

What level you are and how many feats do you have (not including psi empathy if you have that)?

Will the expansion be save compatible ?

Yes, you will be able to load your non-expansion save once you've installed the expansion.

Will take a look at it.

Thanks for the report.

Ok heres what i got

Visual studio 2017

This is all I got

If your XNA is not marked as "Refresh", try uninstalling it and manually installing this one:

Where do I find that list? Is that where I delete programs on control panel?

Yes, it should be in the list that shows your installed programs, games, etc.

Device spec

Chuwi VI8 windows tablet
Intel atom z3735F 1.33 ghz
2gb RAM DDR3
8 inch screen(1280)
Windows 8.1

Timelapsvertigo shows only black screen on the middle and is not responsive after 10 min of wait

Tried almost everything from -
Reinstalling xna dxdriver .net etc
No AV program(windows has been clean-installed)
Copied and pasted config.dat from my desktop and old laptop(both works fine, and laptop is really shitty one)
No crashlog
No use of compability/administrator

Is there anything else I can do? I saw a post who experienced exact same one and still not solved the problem.
Plz help I really need to run it on this tablet.

Can you post your Programs and Features list where it shows which XNA you have installed?

Did you try deleting config.dat and then running the game?

So to sum up, speed hack is pure cheating and probably fun if you are into that stuff, but completely alter the game in ways that make some builds more powerful than intended, and make certain game elements lose its value.
It has absolutely no place in the base game.

Indeed. I don't have anything against people doing this (and they already can and do, very easily), but I have no interest in accomodating these sort of crude game pacing manipulations.

That is not to say that the player's desire to move more quickly around the world is necessarily bad and unwarranted and that I consider the current pacing perfect. It's just that this sort of solution cannot be well integrated in the game at this point and, hance, as said, has no place in the game itself.

Thank you Styg
Last question: will there be an easy way of checking the amount of remaining fuel, while you're using a jet ski ?
The last thing I want is accidentally saving game above a body of water, in the jet ski, and running out of fuel before reaching one of the islands

yes

There's a bar tha shows it. And if you run out of energy, your jet ski will still be able to move, just very slowly (think: some auxiliary low power ultra-long life battery that they all have installed), so you won't ever get stuck for that reason.

This is great
Are we going to have any penalties for using throwable items while using the jet ski ?
Can we damage the enemy arms/hands, to drop him or her in the water ?
Can't wait for this expansion

Throwing precision will suffer the same penalty as regular ranged weapons.
No, there's no swimming mechanics in the game so that would be kinda cheesy way to kill an opponent.
