General / Re: I hate you all [major spoilers]
« on: October 08, 2016, 11:32:30 pm »
Ok, I have been re-playing the game again, now that the reckoning of the new version is near.
And time for more backlog of lore knowledge.

Curious... Very interesting indeed.
Quote from: Wasi Abdul's personal computer
W. Abdul: If they come here here, they will separate us, Wasi.
W. Abdul: I can't take this anymore I am tired and and I can brly see And you are hurting me.
W. Abdul: They will hurt you more.
W. Abdul: i just want this to end
W. Abdul: Peel the skin from your chest now. There is nothing left on your back.
W. Abdul: I cant
W. Abdul: You have to. You are not you anymore, don't you remember? Your body is a prison made of flesh. Get rid of it.
W. Abdul: i can't.
W. Abdul: You must.
W. Abdul: I can't do it  why can't I just kill myself I can't take it anymore.
W. Abdul: Don't cry. Pain is but a small price for your new existence. Your freedom.
W. Abdul: i am tired I havent slept.
W. Abdul: You will never sleep again. You don't need to. You are getting rid of it all.
W. Abdul: why can't I kill myself
W. Abdul: We don't want that. We don't want your existence to end. You need to remove your flesh slowly, peel off all the outer layers. What is left is you in your purest form.
W. Abdul: i cant.
W. Abdul: It is too late. Just set yourself free, Wasi.

Does it sound familiar?

Quote from: Tchortist facility monolith
Slowly the voices rise from across the globe. They are irritated at first, and soon they grow angry, furious. But their fury becomes tempered with fear and then... pain.

Now the world is screaming and you soon realize why. Deep in your guts you can feel it - a beast stirs. Fueled with all your desires and fears, like a rabid rathound it claws with increasing fury at the inside of your skin, yelping, growling, barking.

The pain becomes increasingly intense as the moments pass. Your face and your hands become numb, and inside - only pain. You look up at the sky, it's nighttime.

In desperation your hand reaches for the stars. You have to escape or you have to cut your belly open and let the beast out, there is no other way.

I thus conclude my proposal, Theory of "Space Plague".

actual limit is known to be in ... 3000ish.

For example, metal armor's physical resistance is calculated as:

Res % = 0.16Q + 25.72

That ain't right.

Oops, it is only for the steel metal armor's physical resistance. Sorry for the confusion.

And while I do have most of the resources to do research, I don't have time and patience to do it.

Anyone who played back in alpha when it was possible to savescum trader resets probably has a good feel on how the system works.
It was still like that on the beta. Those were good days..

And no, it is eeeh still on uncommon side but it is not like a completely impossible to find.

Then again, I use infinite weight cheats on and visits merchants whenever they reset so I may be biased.

??

You can just experiment, you know.

For example, metal armor's physical resistance is calculated as:

Res % = 0.16Q + 25.72

Where Q is the quality of the primary metal plate.

I'm looking for Vision processing module for Goggles.

I understand that its called Image Intensifier Tube, which is http://www.underrail.com/wiki/index.php?title=Image_Intensifier_Tube

I have never once seen it in the game...every location i go to i use tab and check every footlocker etc, never found this in deep caverns also where there is tons of crafting material.
I also checked all stores in game...citys, tchort institute, protectorate shop, praetorian shop.

Is this item rare or something?

It is common. If nothing else, just take apart any goggle with 3 camera thing.(instead of 2)

Now auto reloader for the guns... that is rare.

Better question would be : how many extra resistances you get from your infused leathers with or without skinner.

I believe quality and res correlates directly. So +20%.

1. Only if your electronics skills can support 2 modulator.
according to my experience,
if highest quality of electronics you can mess with is X then,
single X > primary(x/1.3) with secondary(x/1.3)

2. High Efficiency Energy Converters.

3. Melee attacks will always get through no matter what frequency you use. Using lower frequency will take off few damage off per hit, if the attack is melee.
I will be brutally honest.
Shields are only good for stopping bullets, don't expect them to block crossbow bolts or anything slower than that. You might as well as specialize it to block bullets.
Edit:, oh right, shields also block quiet number of psi attacks, so keep that in mind.

General / Re: Final part a trick/hack to stop the respawn?
« on: May 30, 2016, 02:01:47 am »
City area fights can be avoided by not having Eye of Sauron Tchort debuff on you - which is predictable because enemy will only spawn upon +20 stack.
Get Ninja tabi on and scavenge before stack reaches 20.
Debuff will stop stacking if you get out of the area...
You helped me a lot, but nope get out of an area doesn't reset the count, only enter in few area do it if you wait a time (pointless wait in my opinion), for now found only 2 border areas and two hatches that reset the counter.

Once a monster is spawned it is spawned and no way I could find paths from area that reset to next area that reset. I had rush through a building with no reset found, I'll have come back in it because of the rush and all containers not checked, sigh.

I quoted few areas with the counter but not spawning the monsters, it's a welcome pause and it's not helping much for that awful spawning mechanism.

Once a monster is spawned, you need to enter the area stealthed.

IF your Eye of Tchort stack is LESS THAN 20 then they will crawl back to the hole they came from.
Albeit very slowly.

Edit: OH WAIT. Almost forgot.
You need to meet an insane guy, living in the cave next to the warehouses. Look it up on the Underrail Deep Cavern map and find him, and hopefully his quest will aid you in the searching within the city area.

Other then the muchroom forest, you don't need to fight anything - even without stealth skills.

City area fights can be avoided by not having Eye of Sauron Tchort debuff on you - which is predictable because enemy will only spawn upon +20 stack.
Get Ninja tabi on and scavenge before stack reaches 20.
Debuff will stop stacking if you get out of the area, so you need to get in and out a lot in that parts.

Deep worms can be avoided by not going near them...

I think others respawn in normal rate.

My recommended strategy using the hack is to Not go back for anything at all - that is to say, infinite carrying capacity. CE table can be obtained here.

For the record, Tabi boots were updated to have their Movement Speed dependent on cloth quality. High quality infused leather sets can reach into the 30% as well.

Movement speed doesn't have anything to do with combat. It is safe to say you can ignore that....

General / Re: AI Core from the Arke Power Station
« on: May 21, 2016, 02:59:40 pm »
I haven't got enough skill in mechanics to repair the gates by myself, so i need to repair this bloody robot in the corner. Wiki says I need the "Red AI Core" from the Arke Power Station. But I have already been there, killed the whole horde of robots, switched off all the generators with the cables on the floor, changed the power management. And there's still no any "IRIS Core" or something... or I am dumb. Help guys, where is this thing?

Use any one of the computers around the Ark power station.

They should have option that says "open door to IRIS Core".

The door is located straight ahead from where you have first entered Ark power station.
