Grandiose work you did there, Styg. Thank you not only for making an awesome game, but also for proving that a complex RPG doesn't have to be riddled with mechanical cruft. Underrail manages to be accessible without being dumbed down, and deep without being obtuse, which is sadly a rather rare thing nowadays, it seems.

It's actually pretty damn powerful, especially against humanoid enemies. There are skills that let you pretty much one-shot isolated targets, and even heavily armoured enemies can be crit-shiv'd to death with the right skill.

Indeed.

After verifying the Steam cache it worked again, but it remains to be seen for how long :) .

I've always been running the game in full screen, and with no other stuff running in background :) .

Also, the game does now not start any more at all. Not after restarting Steam, not after restarting my PC. Trying a re-install.

An issue I had with the alpha still occurs in version 1.0:

Every now and then, the mouse cursor is confined to a small part in the centre of the screen for some reason. Alt-tabbing solves the problem for the time being, but it still happens regularly.

The game also occasionally doesn't start at all, and the executable needs to be killed via task manager. This might be specific to the Steam version.

Nice addition of the blood pools seeping out under killed human(oid) NPCs. Bit of a shame you didn't get around to touch up smaller inconsistencies like the flame effects, but I guess that would've taken up too much time. Either way, can't wait to dive right in by next Friday 8) .
