General / Re: Has anyone ever killed Blaine?
« on: January 22, 2016, 01:26:22 pm »
Eels want him alive. Scrappers want him dead. You're probably confusing that with the Black Eels' takeover of Junkyard.

The left half of the tentacles (the ones that do physical and bio damage) are susceptible to Thought Control. Tchort itself and the right-hand tentacles are immune to most TC powers.

64
Destroying the tanks is not only worth it, it's practically mandatory; much more so than solving the mutagen puzzle. Without doing so, Tchort will regenerate almost as much damage as you can inflict on it. Planting TNT in stealth mode and hiding in the nearby lockers while the minions are heading for the source of noise makes it a cakewalk. And as Epeli said, if you're a thought controller, a mass enrage will let you kill Tchort without even taking a single point of damage (provided you did blow up the tanks).

Wait, the spectators are treated as actual NPCs, not just background elements :o ?

Suggestions / Re: Model Customization
« on: January 19, 2016, 04:31:36 pm »
Not gonna happen, folks. The game is made with 2D sprites. There is neither time, nor budget for fancy combinations. For the very same reason we didn't get crawling animations, gore effects, additional weaponry such as shotguns, et cetera.

Bugs / Re: Jack Quicksilver disappearance in Core City

From what I gathered you can circumvent the issue by simply not accepting his delivery job at SGS, which seams to be what bugs his questline in Core City.

As has been said above, blueprints and especially ammo are currency. Buy them.

I wonder if any of the seemingly inaccessible buildings in DC has any secrets to offer.

He was both being addressed as Dude and mentioned by others under said name in the logs. And considering that a) both mushroom brew and motion clearly have their origin in BioCorp's shroom project and b) the entirety of Underrail is pretty much a big tug o' war between Hollow Earth survivors who want their piece of the pie, it would be too much of a coincidence.

Yeah, it's hardly noticeable now. Even if you get the full debuff, it never stacks high enough to summon more than one or two Tchortlings before it goes away again.

General / Re: cant find the secondary elevator after tchort-fight
« on: January 15, 2016, 08:55:44 pm »
IIRC there should be 3 elevators in total, the one that belongs to the Institute of Tchort, one that goes up to the Hanging Rat Bar, and one that leads to the caves southwest of SGS.

Bugs / Re: [Foundry] Killing "The Beast" Twice
« on: January 15, 2016, 02:31:40 pm »
Well, but it is also clear that the Mayor of Foundry is an incompetent fuckwad, and the Guard is only marginally better, so I think being able to kill the beast bare-handed and then smugly tell the Mayor "You're all a bunch of useless pansies" would be a nice option.

I'm already down in DC (though deliberately haven't talked to the Facebook commander yet). I presume that by that point there won't be any retroactive effect that far down the road?

Discussions / Re: How did you find out about this game?

Heard about it years ago when the first alpha demo was released. I think I actually found it per accident when browsing TIGsource or another indie game blog.
