Sounds like the same kind of doing-things-in-order problem that also messes up the Oculus questline, where doing Jack Quicksilver's delivery job in SGS potentially bars the player from unlocking Azif, even with a perfect score in all 3 preceeding quests. This definitely needs to be looked into.

The mysterious pillars are only of use if you didn't already do the Silent Isle side quest for the Black Eels in Junkyard. The Praetorian store on the other hand is completely useless for any PSI character who isn't using guns and/or heavy armour. Coretech offers not only electronic supplies, but also tactical gear. The downside to Coretech is that their questline is by far the hardest, due to the ridiculously unbalanced Warehouse mission, which you'll very likely spend a lot of retries on.

In combat you're always shown the precise calculations of your AP and MP for each action. But I agree that it would be nice to see the absolute values, too, in between actions.

There are ways to break the main quest. We do not guard against all of them.

That seems like a weird policy to me. Isn't this supposed to be a top priority, that the main quest can't be broken? If you can't continue the game what's the point to continue with the playthrough? Especially if you don't even tell the player that they're stuck and can't proceed anymore.

It used to be pretty normal that you can mercilessly fuck up your playthrough in RPGs. Not telling the player is of course an issue, because there should be a clear fail state.

They raze the entire institute with everyone in it; that includes you (you get a fair warning at best). Allegiance only comes to play once you enter the Deep Caverns and meet their commander.

Those are the "ghosts" of the people stored in the nearby cryo tanks. They are true-sighted, but only aggro if you step within range of 2 or 3 squares. To get rid of them, you have to kill their bodies by manually cutting off the electrical supply of each cryo tank in the adjacent storage room.

You should be able to leave the Institute. If you cannot open the front doors by yourself, there's still the hole in the West Wing that leads back to Upper Underrail.

I've been putting the game on hold for now, both because of this and the transition bugs in Deep Caverns. Not gonna pick it up again until the latter is dealt with, as it renders the game unplayable, but it would be nice if the former could be taken care of, too.
