Funny thing about pistols...

If you get character build that is specialized for pistols with STR6, wouldn't he actually better perform, by just getting AR for shorter range and sniper for long range?

If you want badass AR build try sniper-commando build that Wildan posted some months ago. Its better then tin-can metal gun with AR. I tried both.

There is no doubt that specialized AR build will perform better. Been there done that.

What I'm talking about is that if you take pistol specialized build with STR6, and just switch to AR (that needs STR6), you will be more effective fighter (in many situations), then with pistol, which is plain weird.

player1 how did that char turn out? Was H&K good enough to carry you thru the game?

Yes. He was Sniper/SMG hybrid (only used sniper with Sniper and Aimed shot feats), without a single point in crafting. Beaten Tchort once with couple of sniper shots, and another time with SMG bursts. I did switched to 7.62mm SMG near the end, since after level 20+ they started to get better when H&K. Still, it was the most used SMG for the whole game, when crafting is not used.

Yes, the patch did nerf slightly AP reduction from DEX.

For example, my old non-crafting SMG specialist that used H&K 9mm SMG with DEX7 to shoot two bursts twice would not work anymore (would need DEX 8 now).

Ideally, code revision system should be used, with release branch only having changes that match public release.

That way hotfix would be based on released version, reducing chances for injecting new issues, that could happen if hotfix is based on current dev code.

I have no idea how would code for psi-ability spending in any way be related to skill screen UI.

I just can't fathom how would one change affect the other.

I can also confirm this issue with the newest patch.

Not sure if it affects only player, or can enemies also exploit it.

With addition of new dark  zone, in patch 1.0.0.14, that goes through rails between Rail Crossing and area that leads to hijacked train, original directions to go south to get to the warehouse are a bit misleading.

Correct directions would be go south-east, then turn westward.  8)
