I am interested in the answer to that question. During my only playthrough I was a friend to the Faceless (even though I killed the one at Railroad Crossing, and a few more North of the blockade at the City).

So I can't answer your question, and would like to know how all other players in the same situation as you could finish the game.

SuNo

One thing is sure: if one day I do another run, I will be friendly with Faceless... It will be much much MUCH easier than my current run :D

It's really clear. Thanks a lot for your explanation.

I guess with a build with high dex, it should be easier on hardest zones because of the number of actions I will have, especially against enemies with a lot of life. At the same time, I am not a huge fan of drugs either.... Hmm, it's difficult to decide.

On the other side, having 1 good psy ability and be able to hit like an ogre would not be unpleasant with the second build you suggest :)

You only did one friendly act toward the faceless as the encounter in West Wing doesn't count, see below:

You chose to fight the mindreader at buzzer shop? If that the case then unfortunately you are hostile to them for that save, if you want to be friends with the faceless for the next playthrought you must:

- "Let the Mindreader kill Buzzer (If you pass the Persuasion check there are no repercussions)
- "Save the injured Faceless in Core City
- "Tell the Faceless near Foundry about the cube location."

I don't know what to tell you about how to proceed at Arke Station as crossbow user, I dropped a xbower character at Deep Caverns due the Industrial Robots insane mechanical resistance which made impossible continue at that point.

Apparently... Anyway, next time, I will remember it for Buzzer.

Couple points:
- boxing gloves is a pretty weak weapon and you should equip it in the offhand and switch to it before you end your turn for the 15% dodge bonus. Your primary weapon should be the claw (early game) and a crafted Pneumatic Bladed Infused Ancient Rathound Leather Gloves (late game).
- you are missing cheap shots (50% extra crit damage, 15% chance to incapacitate the target) and critical power (combine with cheap shots you now get 125% extra crit damage)
- highest hacking check is 135 and highest lockpicking check is 130. Jackknife provide +7 lockpicking and huxkey provide +15 to hacking & lockpicking.
- you must max your primary offensive skill every level, no exception.
- stealth, imho, is essential to a brawler/psi monk.

This is my dex (leather combat gloves) brawler build I used to finished a hard game. This is my strongest underrail char: not a glass cannon, attacking 10 times(min)/14 times(max) per turn @74% crit chance (13% base + 16% infused rathound leather armor + 15% focus stim + 30% survival instinct) w/ 225% crit damage bonus . Finally there's what I call beast mode (on every single drug in the game) = 1k+ raw damage per pneumatic strike or 3k+ raw damage per critical pneumatic strike.

Wildan posted a str psi-monk build that could possibly look something like this. You'll have to sacrifice points from crafting to hacking + lockpicking.

Hopefully some of my rambling would be of help.

Got it. I could focus on claws.

Is that ok to have only 3 in strength? I though strength was important for melee attacks too (or maybe it's a myth) :)

With your build, you can't lock and hack, isn't it? I would like to open easily boxes and lockers.

And if I understand, doing a melee build without stealth and without a great dodge and evasion is not a good idea? I could be killed easily on Deep Cavern with that?

Again, sorry for all of these questions and thanks in advance for your time.

Hi,

I am thinking to a second playthrough with a totally different character than my current one.

Playing a strong melee fighter who could hack and unlock everything would be good.

Is that build http://underrail.info.tm/?build=AwGgzGqgTKCcIEDZHjSqJQEZuc7jnliYSQcfuSWCACwgDsIAHCNtO7dm9A2JyTMWnOCyA effective until the end of the game according to your experience?

Thank you

PS: I know I will not find boxing gloves before mid game so I guess I will play with regular gloves first

1) You only need to do two friendly acts toward the faceless for them to be neutral. They are friendly if you do all three.

I saved the injured Faceless + I told the other Faceless on West Wings about the cube.

I only killed the Faceless for the quest concerning buzzer.  >:(

This tool is really great. Will be useful the day I want to do a second run.

Is there a page where we could see suggested shared builds?

Hi everyone,

First, I would like to thank you for your previous advice concerning Deep Cavern. This area is like hell...

I finally arrived at the big gate then I went inside and I need to repair the mechanism. What I have for now:

- Tool Set (apparently I have everything I need)
- Mycokardia
- Some Mutagen (blue things)
- Electricity is restored at Ark Station
- Leo's Knife has been found

I know I need to find other stuffs (and a lot apparently). However, Faceless hate me a lot and even if I can kill one of them, 5 more will come like 2 minutes after. Alone with by crossbow, that's not possible.

I know I need to go back to the area south of Caerus Block (I guess doors will open now because electricity has been restored).

For the rest, can I found element without going to Faceless areas? I ask you that because for now, I do a lot of quick save/quick load because of this endless enemies repop...

I am sure I am not so far from the End but it's litterally impossible to walk on some areas.

Thanks for your help.

Good morning,

I was thinking to something: is it possible to play that extension if we didn't finish the game? For example, with a character blocked on Deep Cavern, will i be able to start the extension with my character?

If not, I guess I need to keep a save where I am still in the Tchortist Institute...?

Corrosive Acid Bolt
Use: Shoots this bolt from a crossbow striking the target for normal bolt damage plus 20-50 acid damage and applies Corroded debuff which reduces all damage resistances and thresholds by 7% for 5 turns. Stacks 10 times.
(AP: 9)

You should be able to buy EMP and HE grenades from Tchortist. Farm deep worms for Corrosive Acid Glands; buy syringe from Leo and craft corrosive acid bolts. You should be able to take out Industrial Bot by using a combination of bear traps + EMP + HE grenade + corrosive bolts.

Thanks for the advice. I will try it. Going back to Tchortist won't be easy because I tried to dodge Faceless doctors many times... But I will try ! :)

What's your electronic and chemistry skill? Are you friendly with the tchortists? Tchortists + Leo sell components for EMP grenades + mine + corrosive acid bolt.

You have quick tinkering right? Another tedious way to kill the bot would be bear traps + HE grenades.

Electronics: 45
Chemistry: 102

Yes, I am friend with Tchortists.

Corrosive acid bolt? Is that great? Because I use regular Acid Bolt and it does between 15 et 30 dps...

I don't know what to tell you about how to proceed at Arke Station as crossbow user, I dropped a xbower character at Deep Caverns due the Industrial Robots insane mechanical resistance which made impossible continue at that point.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I have exactly the same issue... So I might abandon my game... After more than 70 hours... Rhaaa.

I did not do what you did for Buzzer so that explains everything.

The issus is that I don't have any shockbolt and I have only 5 acid bolts. I used a lot of bolts on the mushroom foret and on the Ark Station. I am now completely blocked on the main hall because there is an Industrial Robot you cannot avoid.

@thedevteam: is there any way to use cheat code? I would like at least to finish the game and know the end of the story... It's frustrating to be blocked at this point. :'( :'( :'(

Yes, you are. Infiltrate the power plant until you are able to transfer power.
You can transfer to several places but not at the same time and not all of them are mandatory.

There's no need to get back to Tchortists but you'll need to get to area between two factions, where monsters spawn. Not sure if you'll need to fight invi Faceless while getting there.

Thanks for your feedback. However, I don't know why Faceless don't like me. It seems to be a blocking point. Do I really need to reactivate the power on the Ark Station ? I posted another post here: http://underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=2779.0

I am litterally blocked and I reaaally don't know how to move on.

Hi,

I have walking for some time now on the Deep Cavern. I killed the Pulsating roots, saw some ghosts and checked some areas.

The problem is that whenver I want to go East, Faceless don't want to let me pass. After some time (and without any idea), I killed them but it cost me a lot of ammo (I only use a crossbow). I arrived at the Ark Station and over there, I am litterally blocked agains Industrial Bot (they are too much solid for my crossbow ammo).

1) Is there a way to be friendly with the faceless? On the past, I saved the injured Faceless on Core City but I have to kill some when I saved Buzzer and when I tried to escape with the elevator.
2) After beating a lot of coil spiders on the Utility station, I arrive on the "main hall" I think and I am litterally blocked by Industrial robot: stealth does not work.

I don't know what to do... Again, would you please help me to take the right decision?

Thanks a lot in advance for your time
