Err... main "storyline" was concluded without cliffhanger. There were start of a new one, but it's different thing.

Hunting down Tanner, most likely.  Don't know what else could be as important to a godman as taking on a leviathan.

seeker goggles only affect ranged crit chances

I don't think most of that is on the wiki.

General / Questions about weapon components, damage, and weapon skill
« on: December 22, 2018, 07:49:26 pm »
What is the damage range of a high-end plasma pistol?  I'm talking the best components you can find in DC or wherever.
What is the highest crit damage modifier you can get on such a gun via components?
Is the smart lens bonus the same with both goggles and as a weapon enhancement?

What is the formula for determining how much skill points and ability scores add to your damage?

wow... screw lore...

If food is analogue of "magical buff potions" and must be balanced by ridiculous prices, maybe move such buff effects from food on other items and make new "pharmacy items"? 'cause ingame economy lore is losing sense here.

Well, I assume your character eats non-luxury stuff like lake mushrooms or roots or whatever for sustenance.  Stuff like stuffed bats and burrower burgers seem like special food to me.  This is an underground world, after all, so food ought to be expensive, though maybe not as expensive as it currently is.

Buzzer's shop; the fence should be over the crate.  If I find any more I'll start my own thread.

Builds / Re: Beginner looking for advice regarding Psi/Sniper build
« on: December 21, 2018, 03:15:38 pm »
Granted I've never done pickpocketing or psi or a sniper before, but here's how I'd build what you want.

It'd be quite a bit better if you switched pickpocket for traps and took quick tinkering.  I don't see hit and run being good for a sniper, because you take move and shoot penalties and hit & run only works up to your normal maximum.  Locus of Control is probably the strongest feat in the game, so I hear, but if you don't care about it, you can use those points from will to give yourself some more int which will free up some skillpoints for elsewhere and let you take premeditation, as well as boost whatever other abilities you'd like more of.  When it comes to crafting, you'll want mechanics and electronics for sure just for your rifle (but also infused leather and an energy shield, respectively) and tailoring for stealth gear/infused leather, which is very important to a sniper.  I hear there's a fantastic new feat for snipers coming with expedition.  As for psi, as said earlier, thought control is great, but so is psychokinesis for stuns and force field.  You're lacking in crowd control, though, with no metathermics or very good throwing.

I don't really know how much pickpocket you need, but I've heard that 40 will let you get most stuff.

Bursts are still a very strong option.  Heavy AR gunner is usually the go-to newbie recommendation.

Looking really damn good, Styggy.

It just hit me how the names are connected; six and hexagon (six-sided shape).

Should be "anyone", I think.

I'm gonna go ahead and put mine in here instead of making my own thread, don't hurt me.

Protectorate mission; pretty sure this guy should be a "Free Drone Sniper".

I find that characters will typically have any 2 of these 3:
-lockpicking and hacking
-dodge and evasion
-craft skills

Which ones can you live without?
I've done two characters with no dodge and evasion, and I'm planning one with no lock/hack for expedition.  My very first character, going into the game blind, had no craft skills but I stopped before Depot A because I felt like I was missing out (and crossbows seemed more up my alley than pistols/other guns were turning out to be).

How exactly can Cliff survive without the doctor feat?
And why wouldn't you get exp for the quest if he does?
As far as I know, you need persuasion to GET the quest in the first place, but if you've got it, you will get EXP for completing it irregardless of Cliff's survival.
So Doctor has nothing to do with getting the EXP, rather, persuasion does.

Yes, persuasion is what gets you the EXP.  If you talk to cliff and get him to not fight you, or sneak past him, either way if you go into the burrower warehouse before he dies, he'll be alive when you get back out and he'll talk with what's her face.  If you snuck past him, the dialogue afterwards is the same, but you don't get the exp.  Honestly it seems doctor is worthless in this instance.

Cliff can survive even without the doctor feat, but you won't get the quest exp.
