Some people can pass it with 70, some can't pass it with 160.  Not sure what's up with it.  From what I've heard, you don't get any extra reward for doing it, exp or money.

Well, I think HEs are still fine for mines, especially if you're massing them up; emps cant set each other off.  You use your plasma components for grenades and use hexogen for mines.  I guess you could maybe mass EMPs and set them all off with a grenade; never tried it.  Still, unless you're been buying and saving them up, theres only so many of each component each refresh.

It's no secret at this point that plasma outperform HEs at the same role, but plasmas are available much later in the game (unless you get very lucky) and require high electronics instead of chemistry, also they have a smaller radius and more expensive components.  MkV frags are still worth it since they can outdamage plasmas against squishier targets.  In my experience, aside from the early game, HEs are often a waste of AP given the low damage they do.  Sure, they do *some* damage against burrower warriors, dreadnoughts, etc but its so little that I may as well have used that 15 AP on something else.  These days, many people don't bother getting to 112 chemistry, just 69 for mk4s then switching to plasmas for the lategame.  Maybe if HEs had progressively higher armor ignoring percentage?  Like, 40%/45%/50%/55%/60%?  Or 40/50/60/70/80

Don't be in a hurry for my sake, I was just testing oddity exp rewards for the various faction routes through the BS. 

As it stands, aegis only is 18 exp, pirates only is 20, and aegis then pirates is 22; that's assuming you do everything.  If you fix this bug, the latter will be 24.

Since you've halved the prices for the other jetskis, shouldn't you chop it's selling price(s) in half as well?  As it stands, with 140 merc you sell the glider for 40k, which, with that level of merc, lets you almost buy the devastator, the leviator, and the torpedo.

Yes, I said I would help them.  But after I killed the four attackers (robed fanatics), anytime I clicked on D or Ryl they'd say something like "Get ready, they're coming!".  I moved out into the south hallway, I shot the east two with the torch, they died, then I ran to the west two and melee'd them.  D and Ryl never got their turns and I assume they never had line of sight.  If you refuse to help them but kill the enemies anyway, their dialogue is different so I don't think I accidentally clicked the wrong option. 

I've reloaded my save many times and can't replicate it, even doing exactly what I did the first time.  I say just ignore it, if I ever get it to happen again I'll upload the save.

On easy difficult, the diedrich/ryl random dungeon encounter (via the trapdoor just south of old jonas); if you kill the attackers before they get to see them, they keep acting like the attack is yet to happen and you can't trade with them or get your reward.

This character had already beaten the game and I'm pretty certain had been to the rig at some point (before the waterways update).  This happened on the latest/current patch.  There's no need to salvage this character, I was just testing something.

If you do the first invasion, then go get the naval mines before doing the west depot, you can't complete the camp defense quest.  You go into the keep afterwards, turn on the turrets, go wake up the naga, and you just can't talk to marcus about it.  You get 1 exp when you pay the ferryman.

If you do the west depot first, then go get the mines, it all works out.  You get 1 exp when you pay the ferryman, and 2 more when you talk to marcus.
