Max dex, max throwing, grenadier, three pointer, temporal manipulation: limited temporal increment, future orientation.  Spec points go into future orientation and three pointer.  Get enough chemistry for mkV grenades and enough electronics for mkIII plasmas.  After that it's all up to you.

Expose weakness helps.  Focusing on crit chance/damage, using toxic gas grenades, applying opportunist, taste for blood; lots of options.  For fists in particular you want to use heavy punch with combo and pneumatic gloves.

I played a slow full-armor sledge tank with no psi and no grenadier.  It can be done.

Stasis bating is really not even that fool-proof, as you can get surrounded while in stasis.

The thing you encounter in the northern most black sea maps was genuinely spoopy. 

On my first playthrough, I was pretty tense going through those dark train tunnels south of rail crossing.

If you handle the faceless at foundry before rail crossing, you have a special dialogue option with the mindreader at buzzers.  One person on the discord went the Hugo route, but the mindreader still wouldn't accept his plea to spare buzzer.  Another person did the same thing and the mindreader accepted it and spared buzzer.  Neither player had persuasion.  I tried it, and it worked for me; I did have persuasion but never chose a persuasion option in the dialogue.  The first player went and got the bloody mobile computer to see if that made a difference; it didn't. 

What determines if this succeeds or fails?

A sledge doesnt *need* expose weakness, but it sure helps.  Since you won't have high enough str to reliably use balors hammer, I suggest getting it.  If you take improved strength you'll still have 14 at the end, before food and drugs.  That's enough. 

Core skills are melee, throwing, all crafts (but not maxed), and then whatever you like.  Hammer Wizard likes to have Persuasion and Lockpicking, whereas I prefer Lockpicking and Hacking.
