Pistol is probably the worst build aside from throwing-only, but it's not really meant to be a build of it's own, I think. You can do it, but understand you're choosing a harder path. SMG's are pretty good.

Some derailed zoner on 4chins got onto the ferrymans boat from the sea side and now cant get back to his ski, at least until the ferryman comes back. Bug or not, you decide!

It used to be possible, but now it isn't. If you want to do the quest, just get the protectorate to do it.
Later on, if you side with a certain faction, you can rectify this mistake if you want.

In B11, I can't loot this corpse for some reason. I can get those pots behind him by walking to the area behind the torch.
