During the next two months I will be able to devote a lot of time to that if you're willing to consider one such as myself.

Either larger magazines... or bullet belt for 4 ap reloading gizmos.

I had two assault rifles(+2 burst/+ 50 % burst), one costing 11/33, one 16/48 ap per shot/burst. After first round/commando you're left with 21 bullets in the primary and 11 on the alt. If drugged, that's one more burst from small AR and ap/mp to move. Next round you're left with 12 and 11 bullets which is one more burst/commando for a grand total of 33+8=41 ap after reloading and some ap/mp extra. There wasn't much left in range after that, though I think part of the outcome was coming from the fact my char was wearing the heaviest possible armour at all times. Larger magazines may work for builds that want to (perhaps?) stay light on their feet and dart around corners more often, and, of course, have to use some other belt than the bullet one?

To be honest I wouldn't use such an attachment.

General / Re: Post your experiences with the new Dominating difficulty!

So...

I've finished the game for the first time ever... on DOMINATING.

I reached Deep Caverns on my first char, but was so enthusiastic about rolling a new one on the highest difficulty that I didn't finish it the first time.

I think this generally is a fair game, albeit one that needs encyclopedic knowledge and discipline to be played effectively on it's highest dif. It's fairly open ended, you can choose encounters more or less appropiate to what you can handle, and for the most part you can escape from zones if things go awry. There could even be Ironman mode for the real vets. Me--I'm yet to beat the game on Oddity. Maybe never.

Regardless, I can say that DC beat my ass as in the end because I needed to check things online. I figured how to move around Hollow Earth without getting swarmed--mind you, the first time I walked in I was like, 'Let's see what they are made of.' When both my weapons began breaking down I knew they'd just spawn forever :<. But I had to look up what to do on obtaining the Biocide. In my defence--it's not exactly intuitive that the option appears visible only after powering everything else down. Couldn't even begin to comprehend how to do the mutagen thingy, so I left to explore more and happened, purely by chance, on the last boss. He/it was worth 3 bursts of AR bullets :D after happily consuming the only portion of supersoldier drug/regen mixture I ever needed to consume in the whole game... sad.

Replayed the last battle a few more times, found out a few more tentacle shenanigans... and that's about it. Can't say the ending was very inspiring. But the game is good, almost entirely because of it's purist design on builds and gameplay.

Might I advise OP to read another thread that is currently just underneath his ;D.

I'm not sure it will help, but maybe try lowering the resolution?

Thanks :D.

Don't know if Bullhead pills help or not, to be honest. It's really down to the situation. At worst they just make them use Bilocation faster, which is pretty anti-player.

Of course... I wouldn't go abouts gunning everything I see. I am just testing the build from time to time.

So, I've been nerding away happily on my new char.

Thanks to all the expert advice of this thread he has become a real beast, sitting at level 24 right now. Leveling has been quite quick, too. The run clocks at about 40 hours for now--got most of my weekend dedicated to that :D.

I am surprised at how efficient the rifle bursts are. Dreadnaughts are one shot with a 120(ish) quality base Huszar, plus a smart module at about a 100. Muzzled, of course.

Other than the Magic Roach Island of Doom, the whole thing has been quite smooth. I should have just paid the man his money. I'll know for the future. Yesterday I was doing the lower level of the Lunatic Mall. Managed to do it twice, once without traps and once with. No real difference, my catch was just to stall their movement at the entrance of the shop so that I can happily spay and dance around the corner. Occasional grenades included. I reloaded the game after that and will fish for some Bullhead Pills today. Want to retry it a few times with those on.

Traps, Stealth and SMGs have been the lifeblood of the build in the early game. Mostly focused on hunting wild life--no Magic Roaches, thanks. The real spike came with Concentrated Fire and Commando. After that it's been spraying for the greater part and at any distance, too. It works! I can see how Calssic XP mode helped me a ton here. After clearing all the Burrowers and scorpion-spiders, the build was at 20. At that point I attempted Balor--first try, easy. Haven't progressed in the arena beyond Master Exploder(name?), but so far all of them have been two bursts each worth of bullets. I only wanted to unlock Ole's special store. Think I'll save Carnifex for when I have really good weapons and armour.

Managed to make myself a 4x Super-Tin and I like it. Tungsten striders, still, but that's only because I had a very good tungsten plate available--more phys resist than anything else around. I am melting moneys whenever I get 3k at a time. We'll see if RNJesus decides to reward me :D. I still think that 4x Tungsten is better for the wild life, though.

I took Pack Rathound instead of Gun Nut because I was dying with my carry weight. 240 minimum is what's prescribed for me in this game. After some deliberation the final pick of feats was Conditioning.

All in all--a very nice build :D. Thanks for the help!

I'm gonna a make T-shirt with this on.

Need help with pun line:

'The Hand Of RNJesus'

'The Flight Of The Bumbleboom'

'Parabola Of Domination'

The problem with that is that grenades are intrinsically more powerful than traps.

Traps comes accross as something that has a higher cieling than grenades, yeah. The way I see it, grenades are more immediate, sure, but if you take a bit of time, there can be bigger, and better, booms if you get traps involved, too.

But I wasn't trying to get the two skills compared anyways. Just give an example of how it'd function.
